Kimmich as a wing-back?
that would look nice..

we'd need at least two new defenders, two mids and get rid of some wingers...

I really don't think that line up would work in terms of offense

With 3 at the back we can afford to field 2 attacking midfielders... Ribery could play cause he's not just a winger.

I like this tactic and I think it will be ideal for Alaba.

4-2-3-1 is the best formation in league games without any doubt.

You need to control the game in midfield for 90 mins with 3-5-2, otherwise it can create problem vs 4-2-3-1 teams. considering it's hard to control and dominate the flanks with 3-5-2.

Bench: Sule,Costa,Ribery,Bernat,Sanches,Thiago,Lahm

Am I too delusional? :)

I was so much into that unfinished 3-man defense project of Pep which unfortunately for many reasons never got completed that I'm desperate to watch it under any coach. I simply think that we have the ingredients to succeed and we need some world class reinforcements(in midfield mostly) like Sule,Verratti or any on that quality-level and attributes to provide.

But yeah, if we were to build on that line-up we'd still one more attacker... I don't think players like Costa and Coman would fit it at all.

Costa and Robben would fit somehow, Coman no.

I'd be pretty effin enraged if we spent a ton of money in Verratti (yet another midfielder!) instead of a top class attacker. And i frankly no longer want Robbery to extend, they are blocking spots in which quality needs to be sought.

I love how Conte has implemented the 343 at Chelsea and it would be a much better fit than the christmas tree 433 Carlo has lined up so far....

Yeah, Ulreich but they can rotate, someone eventually will stay out!

Costa will replace Robben or the other way around depends on form and the coach, similar players.
Muller & Ribery for the other position, Muller close to the box and Ribery more wide, nothing that it can't be done.
I don't have Coman into the team as you see(sold or we don't sign him)

If Verratti is avalaible or there is a chance to get him we should our midfield in the current situation is very weak, not world class at all I see in Verratti potential-wise and skills of prime-Alonso what Ancelotti needs to build his midfield. Why not?

I disagree, Robbery would make a dream bench as super subs, occasionally as starters too. Don't you see that Robben's aura is missing on our offensive game every time he isn't there? Ribery answered for me before 2 days against BVB at this age he can still perform top class games.

I agree on transfering an attacker though, Alexis Sanchez must be top priority or any winger at this level so he can make up a duo with Douglas Costa as "starters" while Robbery will back them up. D.Costa/Transfer & Robbery is perfect! But we definitely need a world class CM to play next to Vidal!
