What Jupp and Jurgen did that year to those Spanish sides was a joy to watch. I mean with the tactics to stay on topic...
Messi and Ronaldo always get sick when they lose, that's kinda funny when you think of it. *Mueller scores a goal-I don't feel good-my tummy hurts-OUCH*
According to some sources Messi was mad that he wasn't played in the 2nd game... Hard to believe that but he wasn't that sick/injured since he was able to score a hattrick before Bayern and after Bayern.
Puyol was a great player, great character, I doubt that they'll ever find someone that will fight for that team like him.

We were talking about the small muscular problems he was having at the time. During the game he was clearly not himself. Don't let these guys rewrite history for you. Or if you wanna believe we beat a team with a fully fit Messi go ahead. He was declared fit for the game, and even beating a 90% Messi is still pretty noteworthy. That doesn't mean he was 100%.

Messi is the type of guy that of course would be upset he wasn't played in the second leg. Listen to Thierry Henry talk about what type of competitor Messi is and you'll see why he's the greatest player in the game today. I know that, and I'm cool with that because even without the greatest player we have the a group of guys that together make the greatest team. But even Messi needs coaches that are going to bench him for his own sake.

FC Bayern 2016 / 2017

subs:

Gaudino, Hojbjerg, Rode, Ribery, Rafinha

the three behind Lewa have no order of preference ...

I would prefer to have a new RB and put Kimmich instead of Alonso.

We're already in 15/16.
Think he'll play 433.

All true... And for the record: I adore Messi... Having said that: anyone believeing 10, 20, 50 or even 100% more of Messi would've made a significant difference in a 7-0 rape is just plain delusional in my book...

Henry speaking about Guardiola's tactics.

Found this quite insightful in both positive and negative ways. It might explain why players tend to have no clue what to do when they reach the opponent's box (which was evident especially in 2013/14).

I'm interested in the relationship between ball possession and shots on goal these days. :P

Sorry for the double post but let's discuss our defensive line with Badi is out of the picture.
Our best bet could be that Bernat magically performs so good which allows us to sacrifice Alaba as LB and use him as CB instead along with Kimmich or whoever recovers first between Martinez and Benatia.
