I voted for Bob. It was a tough choice. I see many have already voted Vidal, who really did perform in the later stages of the CL, but In my opinion had a poor first half of the season. It wasn't until that Bild post that said he turned up to training drunk that he really came into his element, a true workhorse and a great Basti replacement.
My vote went to Lewandowski simply because he was amazing to watch when he was at his best, sure he dropped off in the final few games, but overall I don't think we will see a season like that again from a striker for a while. 5 goals in 10 minutes that was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen in football! I don't think you can mention Bob without mentioning Muller, because Lewy wouldn't have acchieved what he has this season if it wasn't for their partnership and vice versa.
Honourable mentions go to Boateng for holding us together in what as a very shaky and difficult year for us defensively and also Philip Lahm who I thought was really back to his best this season and did a lot of key work for us that I think went unnoticed.
Edited to mention Alaba: Sure he didn't have the best of seasons, but what do you expect when he had to play CB most of the season due to injuries. If he had got to play LB or a more forward role more like he did last season we would have seen more of the same I'm sure. It was great to see him and ribs on the left when Franck came back.
Breakthrough of the year goes to Kimmich or Coman. Both guys who are going to be key for us in the future and had great debut seasons for us. Kimmich stepping up to the plate in big ways when called on due to injuries, and doing a decent job at CB even though he doesn't belong there. Coman because he had already been written off by two of Europes biggest clubs (Juve/PSG) and then we saw something in him that no one else did, and he proved his old clubs wrong!
Overall my top 5 goes:
1) Lewandowski
2) Muller
3) Lahm
4) Vidal
5) Boateng
