He can play there too, but he's not that good as when he is on the right, same goes for Benatia. But that's my opinion and I'm no expert. If you want to put it that way, Boateng can play LB LCB RCB RB, but where he performs best? I'm sure he can play DM too, but let's keep him in defense.

Have you missed his performance as LCB against Manchester United? It was awful, mainly because his positioning and movement was way off.

The whole team was sh*t against United.
I don't see why it wouldn't work, really...

Those are the positions that would get my vote too.

For this season it will be hard for JAvi to even get back in the best of shape..

With Benatia we could see Martinez go back to the midfield again in my opinion.

He is not dead. He will return some day, this season or next, doesn't matter.

There's a lot of time until Martinez makes his comeback and for talks where he'll fit in our team or if he will fit at all, who knows how will things look by that time, things don't turn out to be always as we expect. In a season a lot can change, everyone is betting their statuses at Bayern this year. I wouldn't be surprised to see next year a different Bayern from what we're not used to see. I mean by that we'll maybe find different players to base our game upon, a different approach. How I see everything is possible and nothing can be taken for granted.
See, too many quality choices can give you headaches, and you'll start losing some of your favorite players cause none want to be backups. In this process I see Bayern deal with some financial losses, not only with unhappy players. This is to land you back to earth, if you're being too happy.

Don't get me wrong, i know he will be back, but untill the season is almost over and if he really is getting back into the shape when those ''heisse wochen'' are starting, i doubt it that he will be starting material, if none is injured etc.

Martinez will get to play at the end of the season in the league when we've won it early again. ;)
