I don't think it'll be someone with a high profile like Benatia, KHR has been ridiculing PSG's policy, with this move he'd make them look better. Cause the price-tag Roma's president set in public for Benatia is related to D. Luiz, meaning if D.Luiz is worth 60M then Benatia is worth 61M. Find another option, solution... If we don't buy anyone we'll see Alaba CB sometimes.

If we offer something like €40M they probably would be willing to sell. Saying he's worth €61M is just tactic, to make him feel comfortable at the club. They'd be mad if they rejected €40M.

Bayern needs to go to a traditional 4 man back. Javi is really a midfield player and can be somewhat replaced with what Bayern already have. It's central defense that Bayern are week. Dante sucks. He has been sliding down since the treble winning season. Bayern isn't going to splash tons of money for a player. Bayern should sign Daniel Agger from Liverpool. Would be a great pairing with Boetang if Pep plays 4 in the back.

Alaba -------- Varane ----------------- Boateng --------_______

Defence sorted for years if we get a talented RB.

I'd drop Lahm to right back and have Rode or Højbjerg as the holding midfield.

I always prefer a 4-2-3-1 formation. With the number of top attacking players we have. Defence still really worries me. Aside from a centre mid to replace Javi the rest of the squad is fine in my opinion.

I'd play:

GK: Neuer
RB: Lahm
CB: Boateng
CB: Someone new
LB: Alaba
CM: Rode (Martinez when he's fit)
CM: Basti
AMR: Robben
AMC: Gotze
AML: Ribery
ST: Lewandowski

So now that Javi's out for half the season, I have a feeling Rode is going to playing more often. Would like to see

Well I would prefer him as cdm but if dante doesn't get better and Badstuber doesn't hit good form soon, aaaaand we dont buy a cb then I think this would be the next best thing.

Assuming we'd play like this if everyone is fit :

Attack : check.
Wingers : check
Defence : check
Keeper : check

Midfield : not that much

I'm sceptical.

That is more or less what I'm expecting as well. Why are you not convinced by the midfield? I feel that adding someone else would overdo it, although we might want to consider it if Schweini is in doubt.

Because Basti and Thiago are bound to get injured.

Are you guys thinking another major transfer should be made within the pre-season window? or are you thinking more the mid-season.

Alaba is still an option in midfield. That said, if Schweinstiger will really be out for a long time, maybe buying a midfielder now is prudent. We don't move often in the winter transfer.

In my view we shouldn't buy anyone else, but the board knows much more than us about Schweini's injury and that should decide it.
