So SportBILD claim that we'll play with 3 defenders next season and Pep told that the team 2 weeks ago already.

I'm pretty damn sure our defenders will be Alaba, Martínez, Boateng.
I just remembered we won the CL with 3 at the back under GOATmar with Sami Kuffour (1,75m) and Linke (1,83m) so Alabas size shouldn't be a problem. :)
Sané ---- Lewandowski ---- Gnabry
Davies - Thiago - Kimmich - Dest
Hernández -- Alaba -- Upamecano
--------------- Neuer ----------------

I'm skeptical about Alaba as a CB. Depends a lot on Bernat's performance I guess.

We'll definitely need a proper DM like Rode or Lahm if Schweinstiger is not available in midfield who can cover the backline when Alaba surges forward. I can already imagine he'll be Luiz-esque without the dribbling until he makes it to the other box. Hopefully he'll be better at it than Luiz.

One day, we'll see Alaba as a GK and as a ST.

Call me crazy but I still trust in Dante Image

Boateng was also heavily criticised here and he looked like the CB version of Christian Lell for some users, but he also proved that he is a great defender in the WC, even though he has those brainfarts from time to time

Dante over Alaba any day. However, I suspect that Badstuber will be better than Dante this season.

Boateng was always a good player for Bayern. He's improved with time.

Where did the love for Dante go? What happened in the half season I was away?
Jesus saves, but Kahn does it better ;)

Dante had a couple less than satisfactory performances last season.

When we won the treble, he was a CAM. He played as a suffoco with Mandzukic, pressing and distrupting the opponen'ts play up front then launching attack immediately. Müller can play anywhere up front.

crazy... Alaba for Bernat, Lahm for Rafinha, Martinez for Lahm, Badstuber for Alaba
& Dante for Martinez. I prefer a 4-3-3 form...
However I am afraid that The horror of seeing alaba as LCB is going to happen. Afterall Pep won,t be his self if he doesn't provoke with his stupid decisions .

They should have put Neuer's name on the edge of his box.

I can understand Thiago's and Schweinstiger's absences because of injury and lack of fitness but Robben? Hmmmm

This formation can easily be a 4231 when Alaba pushes forward. Still :pep: crazy. Why can't he play football like everybody else does?

If Alaba really plays there, he will be pregnant by October...
What the hell they see in Bernat? ! ?
