Remember : "He's a midfielder for me AT THE MOMENT.He'll play where we need him"
Obviously we need him in midfield AT THE MOMENT, with Kroos gone and Schweini and Thiago not fit.
Sané ---- Lewandowski ---- Gnabry
Davies - Thiago - Kimmich - Dest
Hernández -- Alaba -- Upamecano
--------------- Neuer ----------------

True, I was considering that possible interpretation.

What do you guys think about Ribéry in CM/CAM instead of Götze ?
I mean, Franck is getting old. Won't be able to run up and down the pitch for too long. His vision, ball controll and passing is amazing, a class better than Götze's in my opinion. Definsively, I don't think the difference is huge if there is any.

He could be our Iniesta 8)

He also told the press that Pep asked him if he can play there during the first training session.

Like what we did with Ze Roberto. he used to play superbly there...

Ribery at CAM sounds totally plausible to me, no problems with it, except that he's still the best LW we've got by quite a margin

Gotze at CM sounds.... off. CAM yes, CF yes, RW/LW yes, but I'm not sold on him at CM at all

I thought Ribery had said he wouldn't like to play in the middle?

Ribéry didn't want to play there under Van Gaal, but I think he said that he'd be willing to do that under Pep.

"Normally we play with four defenders." Guardiola; sometime between the World Cup and the game vs Gladbach.

Yeah, that was in his last press conference and he added that we don't have the right players for that at the moment.
