Boateng is not that good as a LCB as he is as a RCB.
I'm happy with the team even if we don't sign anyone, all they need is motivation and keep concentrated after winning nearly everything they could lately. We've got the right man to do that, one man who gives importance to every record, Pep.

I am convinced that Pep is planning a 3-4-1-2. We might never see it if he is not happy with it during pre-season, but I think he is planning it. This is an example of what it could look like:

Then you might get Martine in midfield, Alaba instead of Bernat, Gotze in CM or CAM or even striker, Muller in any of the front 3 positions, and so on. The only player that does not fit in is Ribery.

I think we all could clearly see last season that Javi Martinez is a liability as CB when playing in a 4 man defense, but he was a BEAST the one and only time he played as CB in that 3 man defense. And it looks like we are going to play that 3-4-3 / 3-3-3-1 so he will be very important in this team.

Boateng, Dante and Javi played a fantastic DFB Cup final against Dortmund. The only goal chance that they could create was from a set piece, so that looks good. I think we still need another CB but that's a very good defense IMO

What worries me is Thiago. I think he will be one of our key players with this new tactics... but he seems way too injury prone :?

From a set piece? Remember Hojbjerg slipping in front of Lewa?

This unfortunately. Hopefully with Kroos gone and Gotze back in the centre, he will step up and there will be some real competition between the two.

Sammer said Thiago will get all the time in the world and we won't risk anything. His second knee injury happened because we rushed things. I'm not toooo worried really.

One problem is that our pre-season is * and it makes it hard for Pep to use 343 so we might not see it already.

or this:

my preferred system is the 4-3-3 esp if we don't get another CB

Just as I thought...

"We can play with 3 or 4 defenders. We will probably play with 4 defenders but don't have the players for it at the moment."

I guess the 3 at the back formations where mainly caused by us only having 1 CB.

"Lahm is a player for the midfield at the moment, but it depends where we need him."
That is what he said.

Rafinha. Rode seems like a bit of a donkey.

So that basically means that we will mostly sign Cuadrado or any other top RWB. And if we fail to do so, then Lahm will play as RWB.
