Yeah, though we had agreed no Martinez as a central defender on a 2 center-back formation, and sorry but if it is Schweini or Javi for midfield, I'd take our General ever time...

I think Javi as a third midfielder might work because it gives him more freedom to act as a Midfielder-Centerback hybrid.

You mean third centerback? He looked pretty good as a third centerback for the one Pokal final, but I really liked him in midfield. Maybe I am like those old guys who commentate for the premier league where you become uncomfortable with anything new: I like having a back four and Martinez in midfield, they have the obsession with zonal marking...

Honestly, the next time zonal defense lets a goal in, and I hear one word about how man-marking is superior:
