Lol. We should take advantage of his scoring rate but have a plan B (2 strikers?) in case he struggles 8-)

How come a pure Barcelona striker (not Messi) cannot score 12+ goals with an arguably vastly better support feeding him balls?

Simply because they don't play with a pure one

Ibrahimovic? Bit of a failure there, no? Eto'o didn't break any records either, did he? Villa, well he's been plagued by injuries so it is a bit unfair to include him.

It has been a long time as well since Bayern won an important match and Gomez didn't score in it...

There is the possibility of playing with an all out three man front attack that includes Gomez, DVB and Mandzukic. Hopefully the defenders will be afraid seeing them running together and let them pass.

City, Madrid, Marseille, Inter, Inter, etc...

City: game in which Bayern won, Gomez scored 2. The other one was a loss.
Madrid: game in which Bayern won, Gomez scored a late winner. The other was a loss on paper.
Marseille was not so critical in fact I forgot what happened
Inter: over a year old and he scored in both legs.

Seriously, when was there a very important match that Bayern won and not thanks to a Gomez goal? The team is too reliant on him and he cannot bear the blame when he doesn't score and the team loses. A team like Bayern should be able to win an important match in which Gomez doesn't score. You cannot expect Gomez to score in every single important match in order for Bayern to be able to win it.

Gomez did score against Marseille in the first leg, unless I'm mistaken. In the second game Olic scored both goals.

Well he's scored when it has mattered the most and to be fair to him, in the big games he doesn't get very good support all the time from Robbery so in fact, I wouldn't blame things on him especially if he's a 'poacher'

That's why I am saying that we need to work in a plan B in the case that Gomez is not scoring.

In general we are too depended in that lone striker scoring abilities and we need to build some different tactics in case it is not working. No striker will score in all games, so you must be prepared with a plan B.
