Not bad defense, set pieces did and still do! Whoever invented zonal marking owes Bayern a Champions League trophy!

But in the real life, Ribery does not like to play in any other position than the left winger.

PC, Xbox or PS3? Add me on friend list if it's for PC. In my case the main reason is because Ribery's speed, dribbling and pass.

After watching the Juve vs Celtic game i was impressed at the tactical approach Conte took to beat Celtic. Instead of pressing forward like most big team would do vs while weaker teams park the bus he took a backseat and let Celtic come at Juve. In the end Juve's defense held and Celtic were slowly picked off as they didnt have enough quality to finish Juve. I would definitely like Jupp/Pep to try that if faced against team like that but im not sure Bayern's D is that solid where they will be taking constant pressure since they arent Italian :P

We are actually holding back a bit this term when faced with ultra-defensive teams, but we'll never take it to the extreme as Juve did. We're being more patient this season, and that proved to be working pretty well for us so far.

True, Juve also did it with a back three which would horrify any sensible Bayern fan :P

Exactly, we should play a 1 back!

Dante as CB, 2 lines of Midfield, then Gomez.
Because who needs a GK when you have Dante?
Jesus saves, but Kahn does it better ;)

Play Neuer as No. 10 and the opposition is doomed for sure.
Emre CAN do it.

Klopp made an interesting statement after todays game
@goal_intl: Klopp: "I'd be interested in where Gomez and Robben will be playing next season. I do not think they will take another year like this."

Anyone think he is right or wondering the same thing?

Huh? That's a weird statement. In case of Gomez, he has a point. As for Robben, the dude who kicked him out of the cup, hmmm.

Is he hinting at something here?

He's hinting at him being a sore loser, that's really about it. Switch the discussion to the other team, make a jibe at two players who haven't featured as much.

Yeah, and shift the media attention away from the loss and towards the rumor mills.

I dont deny the poor taste and lack of class of his statement but its hard to deny it. At the moment i think its a bridge we should only worry about when its time to cross it cause the treble is looking like its just over the horizon for Bayern Munich :D

After watching recent Barcelona matches and there lame excuse of a defense I fear when Pep comes to Bayern their defense may become as weak and fragile as in Barcelona. I would hate to relive those horrid LvG days when Bayern couldnt go a game without conceding more than one goal.
