The LIGA total! Cup 2011 in the Coface Arena in Mainz with four top teams from the Bundesliga. FSV Mainz 05, FC Bayern Munich, Hamburger SV and Borussia Dortmund.

The LIGA total! Cup 2011 will be held over two days. Every day there will be two meetings. The tournament begins Tuesday 19 July with the two semi-final pairings. Match for third place and final follow Wednesday 20 July.

Thanks for the info! How are the teams chosen though? I understand Dortmund and Bayern, but what about Mainz and Hamburg?

Dont know how they are chosen but Mainz are hosting in their new stadium. I read somewhere that Bayern will play Hamburg in the first round.not 100% sure

Yes, on 19th July at 20.30pm (CET), FC Bayern will play Hamburger SV

Probably because it's Liga Total (The IPTV service of Deutsche Telekom), so there are some of the teams in which they are sponsors.

YEA, last year i was on weding and didnt watch games, now i have SAT1 on IPTV and i will watch game

14 days left for our first "serious" test (vs HSV, 19/07/2011, 20:30 CET). I am looking forward to see Neuer and Rafinha in action

Are playing a friendly against Hamburg tomorrow? ESPN3 has it listed.

Nevermind, just saw this is part of Liga Total Cup. I'm so excited I'm gonna be able to watch it!

This will be a fun tournament -- especially with attacking teams like Mainz and Dortmund. HSV and their relatively new squad should be interesting -- a bunch of Chelsea youth. I think we will beat HSV, and it would be great to play against Dortmund and smoke them.

I really really respect and get annoyed by Mainz's work rate. Like i said, last season the only team to really school us was Mainz in our first match with them, their pressing football (tactically sound) really caused us a lot of trouble in LVG possession playstyle.

They are again doing a decent job vs Dortmund, but Dortmund doesn't hold onto the ball uselessly , they attack and attack quickly when they have ball and so Mainz is effective but not as effective as they were against us.

Half time. Dortmund had 2 great goal chances (Kagawa missed an empty goal and Götze hit the post) while Mainz didn't have any. Well, Ivanschitz had a good run in the final minute but without success

I was thinking "mmmm I don't like this Perisic at all..." and he scores 10 seconds later

Without Sahin... I'd like to see them take us on, alright.
