Energy drink sponsored club against the world champions, hmmm...

Red Bull Salzburg had bought two players from Bayern in the not-so-far past, Alexander Zickler and Thomas Linke. Both players have since retired though.

Nice time to test Hojberg and Green, I think.

FC Bayern II have their own friendlies though, so I doubt Pep will experiment with more than just Hojbjerg and Green.

Not sure but I believe it is something to do with the acquisition of the club by Red Bull some years ago.

The corporation destroyed everything their fans cared about. They changed the club's colours, the name, the logo, and according to Wikipedia they even declared that the club was founded in 2005 and that it was 'a new club with no history'. Understandably, the ultras fought against that, and in the end formed a new club, which has admirably already risen to the third tier of Austrian football in just a few years.

The ultras of pretty much every team in the world are against modern football, and from what I can see many European clubs had supported the Salzburg ultras at the time. A quick search of the banner put up by Bayern fans shows that the words have been used before by other teams, like Leverkusen and HSV.

RB Salzburg are scum of the earth , but I'm gonna root for them, since slovenian national Kavin Kampl is playing. He is easy to spot, CM-CAM with weird hair.

Not sure what you mean. My reference to ultras was of course to Salzburg's. Bayern's ultras, along with many others around Europe, are showing sympathy with them.

This is just what I think is likely from a little quick research. There could be another reason why they do not want to play friendlies against them. At first I thought that it might because we had suffered some injuries against them, but it does not seem to be the case.

Damn! Is it exclusive? Because if it is (and it generally is when FCB.tv broadcast live), it means no streams for those who don't want/afford to pay.
