You gotta be kidding me that guy would never get near the Brazilian NT, he doesn even play regularly for Bayern. I think you are either underestimating the Brazilian squad or you dont know much about football.......

They were not called up, and Brazil NT is stacked with a lot of talent so im not suprised that Dante and Gustavo arent called up. Gustavo especially since he doesnt fit that textbook brazilians mold and Dante since Silva, Alex, and Lucio are in front of him and those are some world class CBs...

Plus, the only way Brazil will have a chance of winning something is if they had someone like Gustavo in their squad. Having eleven offensive-minded players/dribblers on the field will bring an embarrassment rather than the "Brazilian Flare" as some like to call it. Also, if Dante maintains his current form, his only competitor would be Silva. Lucio and Alex are old-timers and there is very little chance they'll be ahead of Dante come WC2014.

Exactly David Luiz is Brazils usual starter and for Gustvo he might make the NT but probs on the bench. Brazil have a unique style o play and have been playing and succeeding that way for many years. Sadly Gustavo doesnt play the typical Brazilian way which has hindered his chances to get on the team. Even CBs like Silva, Lucio, and Luiz show more flare than him on the pitch, but imo Gustavo is a great player
