Screw friendly whenever we face real madrid ...everyone knows both team wants blood...this is far from a friendly each team want to mentally scar their opponent and other than barca we a real biggest rival....I thing they call us the black beast in Spain

I'm sure as heck Rral don't see it as a friendly. Also think of the implications at hand here. Were we to demolish them lets say... in an infamous Bayern manner(as of late), like a classic 7up with all our top starters it would send a message across the world that bayern this season is not a team to mess with. But if we lose out to Real, we can expect a crap storm of "Pep Raus!" and Real superiority over Bayern. So although theres no significant trophy on the line, there's alot of meaning/implications behind the result.

Of course it's not a "friendly" in that we obviously want to beat this club. What I meant was that whether we win or lose narrowly, destroy them, or let in 4 again, if we are to meet them in April/May it would be a whole different story and whatever happens tonight won't tell us much about what to expect in that game.

A great test ahead of the season. First, we get to test our new signings (Vidal, Costa) against some of the best defenders/midfielders out there. First, we get to know Real's strength with Ronaldo absent. Third, it would be interesting to watch the Alonso-Kroos matchup.

I am really excited for this match. The defence really needs to prove itself. I followed Benatia during his season with as Roma and he really was a beast, incredible buildup play, very good in the air, he scored a lot of goals and he was one of the best defenders i ever saw defending (especially against the likes of higuain, cavani, Ibrahimovic and drogba). But the high defensive line of Bayern really doesn't suit any defensive minded player. Players like terry, otamendi, kompany, ramos and pique would also have a lot of difficulties with our high defensive line. I'm really excited to see how pep will solve these problems starting today against the likes of bale, isco, james and benz.
