We look decent enough. Chelsea need us to be terrible.

Chelsea will provide a good second match for rhythm. After that hopefully we’re fully back.

For some strange reason, this forum suddenly became convinced that Tolisso is a bad midfielder and Goretzka a genius. Nothing further from the truth.

Tolisso + Thiago were a superb midfield against Madrid one or two years ago. Tolisso was always great at arriving to the box (like Goretzka) but also has actually midfielding abilities (unlike Goretzka). Everyone here has the memory of Finding Nemo's Dory.

(Ups didn't mean to quote you on that hahah)

Sorry to say, but other than injuries, the one thing working against Tolisso is the fact Goretzka is a German national team member...

Sometimes ppl think that football is still in the 60s when there were no subs.

Tolisso has to stay...

We play 50+ games per season...

If both javi and thiago leave we will only be left with Cuisance Fein Leon and Kimmich

He is proof of how important Rafinha really was for us. A more than competent backup who could play both sides, dude was a real gem

A little bit rusty but with the 3-0 lead we have vs Chelsea I am not worried. The Chelsea match will help a lot in getting everyone back up to sharpness.

I don't know about you, but I think the lack of match fitness showed. I think it was quite silly to do a match against a French club. They should have done it against a club that's been recently playing competitive matches so you gauge the effect of match fitness. Just playing against an even less match fit club doesn't prove anything. I saw a lot of misplaced passes, players who were walking around and generally more mistakes than usual. We need to be better than that against Chelsea.

I think Tolisso is a good player and was fantastic before the injury. I would like him to stay and regain that form.

We can appreciate Tolisso without putting down Goretzka though, who had a lot of issues in the past but has improved massively.

And completely ignored it's not a competitive match where almost all mistakes are allowed.
