We've lost all 4 penalty shootouts since 28th April (against Dortmund). That's four penalty shootouts in the last 95 calendar days. We really should be doing something about it.

Naturally Pep is right, it is a mentality thing. But it is not only a mentality thing, you need routine too. IMHO, the lack of it clearly shows on both field players' and goalkeepers' performances.![]()
But will Pep think good old-fashioned mundane penalty practise is needed?

He said it's a mentality thing and that the BuLi goalkeepers are very tall. We lost the last four now. Why is mentality a problem in a friendly against Gladbach? Or against the Chinese champions? There isn't any pressure in those games. The routine is lacking if it's never or seldom practised, and that doesn't help in situations when there's pressure. I might be wrong but I have the feeling that Neuer also used to better at saving penalties two or three years ago. He was in the wrong corner yesterday 4/5 times.
