I did a quick read, and my German is still a bit rusty, but it seems as if it's a financial decision from Eichstätt. So, I guess FCB2 really does just have to worry about the aufstiegs battle vs. Wolfsburg II (or Lübeck, potentially).

seems like Wolfsburg II would not be an easy matchup... they've steamrolled Regionalliga Nord, and have a differential of +54
