we must keep in mind that our top goalscorer is Wriedt who's 25...and Singh who is 21 is also playing a very important role...

besides that you have players in their 30s like Welzmuller, Feldhanh and Kern who are regular starters...

the goal for our academy is to stay competitive in the dritte liga so that we can provide quality match time both for young talents from abroad such as Davies and for homegrown players.

I have great hope in Adrian Fein, Joshua Zirkzee and Angelo Stiller....but we'd be lucky if we end with one Bayern-level player out of these three...

We'd be lucky if we ended up with one first team player out of the whole reserve team squad, but your point still stands.

pretty much so, as I consider those three I mentioned the only worth of a real chance with our first team.

Fein is 21 and has the potential to develop into a valuable defensive midfielder after having proved himself with Hamburg. And 21 is the best age for a midfield prospect to prove himself in a first team.

Stiller is 2 years younger and following the same footseps

Zirkzee has 3 goals and 1 assists in 7 Bundesliga appearances...he's no Haaland but he can be a nice backup for Lewandowski

for all the other Bayern II players, I highly doubt that they will ever make it to the first team...Batista Meier, Jeong, Dajaku, Mai, Richards, Daniliuc, Arp, Kuhn....either you are at Davies' level by the time you're 19...or you're just the next Sinan Kurt, Timothy Tillman, Niklas Dorsch, Fabian Benko etc.

From our academy I rate Malik Tillman and Zirkzee, I've heard good things about Jamie Lawrence who is a 2.00m CB who plays for the u19 and is 17 y/o but there aren't a lot of videos of him to show you.

Interesting. First time I read this name. Not fond of very tall footballers though. They inevitably have poor acceleration and tend to be clumsy.

Tend to agree, but the world is becoming taller, maybe a 2,00m player now is like a 1,95m player years ago. I also feel that it has to do more with their body proportions than the average height, for example, Patrick Viera was very tall and was one of the best DM in football history, not clumsy at all, or Usain Bolt who is 1,95m and it doesn't have any acceleration problems. I know there are way more examples of clumsy and slow tall players than the ones that aren't but there are some exceptions to the rule i guess.

I don't know, I've yet to see one footballer. Always felt Vieira was a bit clumsy, and he was 1.93m not 2m BTW.

Patrick Vieira? You are kidding? He was maestro with the ball in his feet and there were some awesome videos with his moves that showed his technical skills really great, but primarily destruction player. :)

Edgar Davids was the perfect defensive midfielder back then only born in 'wrong era', both butcher and Ronaldinho in one. :D His speed was probably not for today's level, but his talent, class and a vision for DM, God! =P~

Now that you say that, Is there any 2,00meters+ player who has been an elite player? Right now I don't remember any.

I'm watching FCB II vs E. Braunschweig.

1-1 am halbzeit

Paul Will by far our best player on the pitch

Jeong very good with sprints and dribblings but with some errors on the final touch

Tor by Arp but he's not very good when not in possession

Feldhan very solid

Few errors by Richards

Batista-Meier our worst player he has done literally nothing for 45 minutes

he's good but when you're 21 and not playing for the first team...then you're not good enough for FCB. Angelo Stiller wasn't even on the bench maybe he's injured or lacking fitness
