So, not too long ago, if my memory serves me right, Tobi Schweinsteiger was working as "co-manager" for the U17s and assistant coach for Bayern II. And then Tim Walter (FCB II manager) left and we promoted Seitz (U19 coach) to fill that spot...and then ended up making Klose the U17 coach and asking Schweinsteiger to be his assistant, effectively a 'downgrade', especially when you consider Klose was at the time less experienced and accomplished (coaching) than Schweinsteiger was. And of course Seb Hoeness takes over the U19 spot.
So we pass him over for the U17, U19, and U23 jobs and it ultimately leads to him leaving the club. And the U17 job is given to the less-qualified Klose and the U19 job to the FAR less-qualified Hoeness. Now, Seb Hoeness takes over FCB II and Seitz moves into a 'management' role at the FCB Campus and we want Klose to take over the U19 job. But of course...Klose wants to keep working with the U17s.
Basically, unless I'm missing something, it seems like we pretty well pushed out Tobi Schweinsteiger (who, if you didn't know, is one of only two coaches to get a perfect score on the UEFA A-License exam: the other is Tuchel) in order to promote Klose into a better position...and now Klose doesn't want it and Schweinsteiger is off coaching in the second league in Austria. Meanwhile we've decided to hand over the FCBII job to Hoeness who's just coming off a season with the U19s that could be described as mediocre at best.
Anyways, glad to see all the millions we're investing in the youth program is all going just great!
