America USA wrote:^ ah I forgot about that provision in the INA. So yes he is a USC. But still he was NOT born in the USA and I highly doubt he has spent at least a couple of consecutive years of his young life as a resident of the United States. This still means that he is a mercenary and is only choosing the US NT because he is unsure of his ability to be good enough to play for Die Mannschaft. He realizes that being a German born and raised Bayern youth product would raise his stock immensely for a weaker (and struggling) NT like the US Soccer team. Textbook case of Opportunism. Nonetheless still Sickening to me.

If so an American he is...

See how ridiculous this sounds with a simple example.ramsej84 wrote:Are his parents both American?

Well, yes I do. I seriously believe that someone who turns his back on the country where he was born, raised, educated and granted him a lucrative job deserves to be deported.PunkCapitalist wrote:This whole nationalities discussions are so utterly and recurrently ridiculous... Specially when people begin throwing around terms such as "sickening" and "traitor"... Fgs... Some take passports a little bit too seriously.

I compare what Tillman is doing to someone who finds a girlfriend at a super young age, spends all his time with her, she shows him great love, marries him, does everything for him, bears him beautiful children, but then he dumps her for the lady who lives across the street because she's willing to let him do anal.
Hence why I said he would deserve deportation, which in my analogy would be the wife filing for divorce and keeping the house and give him limited access to his kids.
