how can he do that ??????????
There are rules that stop players from doing so.. if one skips a NT call up he cannot play with his club's next match

Well that would imply who the coach called the player and the player/club said no for reasons different from being injured or ill... But if the coach do not include your name in the call up list you are free to play only for your club as you were not called and if you were not called just because you had a deal it do not matter at all

apologies Bella but I did not understand you well.

OK the coach did not include him in the list but I believe that Ronaldo asked him beforehand...

Most probably as #12 said many will snub this initiative by uefa

I am not English so sometimes I am unable to explain me well...

Sure CR7 asked the coach to not be called because he want stay in Turin and training for Juve but this is something perfectly legal. CR7 can not be punished if the CT of Portugal had not included his name on the list

I found out Malta are playing against the Faroe Islands so I rushed home to watch the game, started watching in the 30th minute and within 10 minutes we've conceded twice.

Impressive win by the Russians in Turkey..

Imo italy have the players to be one of the best teams.
Their problem is that Mancini e' un pagliaccio and the italians are not finding enough space to play week in week out

I’m no England fan but that was terrible referring. Welbeck did nothing wrong and that goal should’ve stood!

As of now here are the top three national teams I detest the most:
1. Spain
2. England
3. France
Brasil comes in at a close fourth

Spanish Clubs as well as the NT get way too many officiating decisions in their favor!
