Don't like any of the current teams likely to qualify (assuming France and Belgium qualify) so hope the dutch manage to finish above the French so I have someone to support in the finals

Not really... More like when you concede a goal from a frickin' throw-in and a minute before that you had missed to score from a counter-attack for 0-2.

England were better for the most of the match, Croatia suddenly scored, started to breathe on the pitch and then those 2 stupid counter-attacks you can't miss where the last one cost us victory.

Then you concede 2 goals from set-pieces and bye-bye. One serious team such as Croatia can't allow themselves to concede 2 goals in last 10 games from a throw-in. Instead of conceding it every 300-400 games, you concede it within 4 months in max. 10 matches you played. [-X [-X [-X

I was so upset and angry when I saw that throw-in goal. Someone must be knocked down for that disgrace vs Denmark and England.

I don’t know about that but I feel this is the end of Croatia as a “top” team. I expect the heavyweights (Italy and Spain and maybe Germany as well) to come back stronger in 2020.

England are doing well recently and the fact that their youngsters are going outside the PL to learn is a worry.

Italy are a long way from challenging as are Germany. Spain should be doing much better than they currently are but for some reason they seem to have lost their aura of invincibility. Right now I would put France and Belgium as the favourites.

Never underestimate the Italians!

Germany can bounce back provided Löw and the past it guys are banished and selection is done on merit. Almost all of the German NT’s problems can be singly put on Löw’s shoulders.

Also, Portugal and Netherlands seem to be building good sides as well.

Never rated Portugal but I suppose they could fluke a win again. 2020 will probably be too early for the young dutch side. Unless Depay carries on his upward trajectory and becomes a top 5 in the World player

England and France

Yes italy will soon be back all they need is a prolific striker.

Doesn't look like there's much coming through. England beat their u21s the other night

England have had some really good youth teams lately.

I saw the 17s win a tournament here in Malta in 2014...

I don't know about the others but Solanke was one of them.

As things stand at the moment... Switzerland aka Albania/Kosovo are with the last four... and I am happy with that...

Belgium wannabes deserve this...but there is still one full half to be played

I know you don't want to hear it but I think also England will get better in the coming years before hopefully becoming mediocre again.
