Why are you watching a match officiated by Felix Zwayer?
Why? Dfl did nothing, neither did fifa or did uefa... what can I do?

Back to £ he is super fast.

That's a perfect example of how important is a good coach for a talented player. Without Pep he would now be playing for Everton or West Ham but instead he's become a world class player

Had he stayed in Liverpool he would still have a King of a coach to take care of him... so I am sure that had he stayed with the Reds he would still be the same player that we are witnessing today.

Also note that players not only improve thanks to coaches... but also through experience and maturity... a coach at this level can only guide you and teach tactical things , movements etc.... he won't teach how to shoot ,to pass or how to dribble

Don't care for that kind of counterfactuals either. The facts are that a whole lot of players have exploded under him. Guardiola has probably the single best record out there for developing youth.

Sterling was talented but like many other players, he was not playing up to his potential with City. Just compare his stats before and after Pep. You could do the same with Leo Messi.

In just a few seasons under Guardiola, Sterling has turned averaging around 10 goals a season into 20 plus goals a season, whilst keeping a consistent level of assists, with 17 to his name so far this season.

Pep is a perfectionist, and this mindset has begun to shine through onto the City forward who has honed-in on the footballing basics of control and passing. The latter of which Sterling has improved massively under Pep, going from producing 846 passes in the season before Pep’s arrival, to 1,193 passes so far this season – a career best.

Sterling has become a more effective forward under Pep, noticeably his link-up play with the likes of David Silva, Bernardo Silva and Sergio Aguero have been key to City’s success, and his movement on and off the ball has improved – turning him into a forward that keeps his opponents’ full backs up at night.

The 23-year-old's natural talent was obvious from the time he broke into Liverpool's first-team aged 17, but there's no denying the impact Guardiola has had on his development. Sterling has been speaking about this impact, and revealed the ways in which the City manager has helped him improve.

Sterling explained that he had been controlling the ball with the outside of his boot, but Guardiola spotted this and advised against it. The City manager told his player that he was losing a split second by controlling a pass this way, and corrected this tiny flaw in Sterling's game.

"When I used to dribble, I’d be on the wing and I'd control it with the outside of my foot – it slows the ball down," Sterling told reporters on Monday, ahead of England's friendly with Italy at Wembley.

"'If you control it like this,' (Guardiola said to Sterling), 'the ball's stuck under your feet... One touch, open up quicker'. [Guardiola] has switched my brain back on. 'Oh yeah — why aren't I doing that?'"

:pep:

And that's just one small but effective simple detail.

Don't you guys think that the same rules that apply to footballers should also apply to coaches?

Things like Roberto Martinez coaching Belgica, Capello coaching England, Bielsa and Chile... I don't think that makes any sense

Yes and no. For small nations and those Nations with very few experience in the sport (African / Asians) a foreign coach can be of great help...
However when England had Sven Goran Ericksen and then Capello they were just ridiculous. I would never imagine Spain Italy France or Germany having a foreigner as a coach

Well, the best people to ask is Basque people for sure. :D Athletic Bilbao have had foreign coaches through the history unlike foreign players who they stopped signing very looooooong time ago. :)

Croatia has never had a foreign NT coach so far. There were times when we talked and discussed a lot about them in media and within the CFF, especially in period 2004 after the Euro 04' when the Slovenian Srečko Katanec was so close to become Croatia NT coach, but we once again opted for Croat, Zlatko Kranjčar(Niko Kranjčar's father) and never hired anyone and after the World Cup 2006 we once again were thinking about foreigners, but we appointed Slaven Bilić.
All NT coaches so far have been Croats and chances are very high to stay this way in the future. Nenad Bjelica is definitely a top candidate and future Croatia coach, it's just a matter of years and a question whether some top European side shall hire him one day or not.

All Germany Bundestrainers were Germans and that's going to remain exactly like that. I think Louis van Gaal was the closest person in German public to be linked with Germany NT.

Strong football countries like Brazil, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Italy, France, Argentina, Uruguay will always hire their own coaches as long as there exist top coaches in their countries. In fact, they always give NT coaches to other European and African countries.
Auf geht's ihr Roten!
