We were also in the same group for the World Cup qualifiers...
last March we played well against them, lost 2-0, after missing a penalty and hitting the cross bar.
The away match ... we conceded a goal from a dubious off-side and another from a corner which was wrongly called...
At home we always got respectable results... in 1993 we lost 2-1 also missing a penalty and hitting the bar...
Although I have the feeling that this time will be more complicated.

There is still the chance, look at us
Nobody (maybe only lunatics) before match could say we will win.
Modern european football is for me very balanced now. Malta is very rough opponent as I could see.

Slovakian U21 failed to beat Italian U21 in U21 EURO qualification matches. First match ended 1:1. Second match was played yesterday in Italy and we lost 3:1, but everybody who watched this game should be really pissed off with achievement of scotish refree. At first slovakian player Ondrej Duda got two yellow cards (in 1st half) but honestly, it was right decision.
It was 2:0 after half time whistle.
In 63rd minute we scored goal, 2:1. Almost whole 2nd half we beat the shit of italian players only in 10 men.
In 73rd minute slovakian player Ivan Schranz was fouled in penalty area:


Scottish refree did not whistle the penalty instead he whistled only corner kick!
We should equalize to 2:2 and in case we retain this result, we qualife on EURO U21 in Czech Republic.

Very big sadness in Slovakia, big dissappointment and anger to scotish refree.

Definitely a corner. The ball went over the line. Oh wait... I wonder what was said between the referee and the linesman.
Ref: I don't feel like giving a penalty. Any suggestions ?
LM: How about a throw in ?
Ref: Nope. Too far away. We must think.
LM: What about giving Slovakia a goal ?

Always those Italian praying hands pfff...

typical Italian luck ... however the penalty decision was not a straight forward one... but I am pretty sure that if it was in italy's favour he would have kept his initial decision.

Some trouble yest between opposing fans from Bratislava & Prague...

And my point of view and informations:
Sparta's hooligans attacked Slovan's normal fans, some beat and stole souvenirs. Then, Slovan's hools went to defend normal fans and Sparta's hools run away back to their sector. Suddendly, Slovak police appeared on the pitch and stands, beat Slovan's hools and normal fans and tried to calm situation down. Around 35 minutes there were riots, throwing flashlights, seats and some fights between Security, Police and hools.
During the whole day in the streets of Bratislava were fights between Slovan's and Sparta's fans. Match was something like breaking point broadcasted in TV.
Big derby and rivality between Slovaks and Czech, especially between Sparta and Slovan.

Probably MŠK Žilina. Team is young, fast and has good young coach. They lost only 1 match and have best offensive and defense.

Jean Paul Farrugia is not a player of Spartak Trnava yet. Club made with him deal to end his contract to 31st of January 2015. He has played only 2 matches in Fortuna league.
But Fortuna league's newcomer Podbrezová want him to loan.
