Very unlucky defeat for Roma away to Juve

Orsato went against guidelines on Juventus vs. Roma penalty

Referee Daniele Orsato went against the guidelines by blowing the whistle too early for a Roma penalty, therefore denying a Tammy Abraham goal, and Wojciech Szczesny then saved the spot-kick.

The incident occurred just before half-time at the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin, with Juve 1-0 up through Moise Kean.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan was brought down by Szczesny in the six-yard box and a couple of seconds later, Abraham put the rebound into the net.

Had Orsato followed those guidelines, Abraham’s goal would’ve stood.

He did not play the advantage for just that couple of seconds, infuriating the Giallorossi and coach Jose Mourinho

Who cares man, if he sees a clear foul he can blow the whistle in that split second, its not his fault they missed the penalty..

It's only a big error because he didn't score. Otherwise nobody would be talking about it. I remember this happening to Bayern some years ago, but the penalty was scored.

I think you are wrong ... Afaik since the introduction of the VAR refs have been advised to wait a bit.. hence the waiting time to see a flag raised even when an offside is clear even to new borns

Granted, but am I wrong about though, the fact that Bayern had a similar case years ago or the fact that we wouldn't be discussing this had the penalty been scored?

Il Duce's great grandson was in Lazio's squad in the game which the latter lost to Verona 4-1

Looks like Mourinho got sent off with a second yellow card. Not sure I've ever seen a coach get two yellow cards before.

Mourinho on verge to retire from coaching. I guess the next station could be Liga Portugal, teams like Braga and Vitória Setúbal. :D

Roma are doing ok in the league.
V Juve they were super unlucky to lose and today they hold League leaders to a draw...
Note that Napoli had 100% record before today
