1.5 million kits? Lol, no, far far far more. I doubt Juve make more than 15 euros per kit sold. Probably less.

Shirts won't cover Ronaldo costs!

That said Juventus has a weird deal with Adidas
Standard income if shirts sold via Adidas channels (shops and so on)
Fully owned by Juventus if sold by Juventus e-shop

So if fans wanna help the team they should buy for full prices from https://store.juventus.com

Those goes directly to Juventus (minus the costs of shirts and stuff sold by Adidas directly to Juventus)

Sales revenues of the kits sold go to the retailer, which in turns had paid money to Adidas/Nike etc to purchase the kit. Not to Juventus. Juventus profits only for the kits sold in its shops or via its website.

What matters here is the deal between Adidas and Juventus to distribute these kits and use the latter's logo etc on the kit. According to reports Juve and Adidas have agreed on a fixed amount of 408 million euros for 8 seasons + royalty payments based upon exceeding a threshold of sales + sports performance bonuses.

Signing a player like Ronaldo can:

- increase the fixed amount when you negotiate the agreement (like Juventus did in 2019)
- achieve royalty payments based upon exceeding threshold of sales
- achieve sport performance bonuses

so in the end it's not about multiplying 10 or 15 euros for the amount of kits sold...

We also know from official statement by Adidas that "With respect to the excellent performance of the commercial partnership and to the increased visibility of the Juventus brand in 2018, Adidas recognised an additional bonus of €15 million for 2018, which will be paid prior to 31 December 2018."

I argue that Ronaldo's signing in 2018 made Juventus negotiate on better terms with Adidas in January 2019...they gave an extra 15m just for Ronaldo and probably the increase in kit sales made Adidad pay considerable amounts in royalty payments and urged them to renegotiate a new agreement with Juve just 5 months after signing Ronaldo....

This applies to every club, not only to Juve

You’re right... that was a big mistake on my part. I simply counted their price.

Thanks, I’ll make sure not to buy from there if I ever want to gift something Juve-related. :P

I guess it's more profit than 15 Euro per kit. How much wages do Adidas/Nike etc. pay to those Asian/Central America kids?

A swissramble post from 2010 claims that clubs average 12 euros per shirt sold.

Hand ball or non hand ball : Change in the rules for the Seire A

A hands by Bonucci yest v Samp.

The experts said that had this happened last season it would have been a penalty

As a footnote though they said that we have to wait & see whether this was an episode or the new normal against the free for all given penalties ...
