Khedira is past expiration date.
Simply as that. He doesn't run enough and doesn't offer much beside some random goals.
Marchisio after the knee injury almost 2 years ago never got back to his old self.
But right now in Sami position we have none else beside him and Marchisio.
That's why in the incoming summer Juve will need at least 2 midfielders

Watching Khedira every game he looks average at everything.
He doesn't cover like Matuidi.
He doesn't pass or dictate the game like Pjanic
Honestly I can't think about a good thing from Khedira right now.
Pretty weird Allegri didn't field him today nor later in the game.

Still Spal proved 4231 simply does not work. Suicidal every fucking time.

Thanks for your feedback. So now I’m convinced that my assessment of Khedira being past it and therefore not meriting a spot in Die Mannschaft was right. Such a shame that Löw picks him anyway because of favouritism. Arnold, Meyer and possibly Weigl are all playing better than Khedira this season.

It does work for the Germans though!

not when you field Matuidi-Pjanic and your strikers are 40meters away from the other team keeper because they have to "defend"

He is glued to his chair of power.

Or else they don't have alternatives...

Donnaruma is a joke

I think it is the former. Buffon is being selfish now. How will the other guys show their talent or develop if they don’t play? What happened to Sirigu?

Alternatives? The Dutch team doesn’t have a single forward right now who can hold a candle to Robben but Robben retired graciously when his country failed and has given the younger generations a chance to make a name for themselves.

I respect Gigi but this is the wrong decision from him. He is not getting any younger and he won't be around forever.

Is likely this was is last match for Italy. Di Biagio called him because he and many others thought who was a very bad idea letting a captain and legend like Buffon ending his international career with Italy's worst defeat.

Italy didn’t actually lose in his last game at Milan but I get your point.

I too have read reports on the internet that tomorrow could be his farewell game for Italy at the Wembley against England. If it is true I hope Italy smash the overrated English team and Buffon can retire happily but with Gigi you never know if he decides to hang around even after these friendlies.

How did Parolo not get at least a yellow? 2 fouls from behind on Sterling with the space of maybe 2-3 seconds.

You mean Brexit? I don't think so :) But still, he deserved at very least a yellow.

Buffon didn’t play against England that means he is gonna carry on with Italy.

Are Italians really so shortsighted? [-X

Not really. For now Donnarumma has already started some matches and Buffon is likely to retire from football this summer, hopefully his last match for Italy will be the friendly against Netherlands at Allianz Stadium the 4th June.

That’s good to hear. I have immense respect for Buffon and for me he will go down as one of the Top three GKs of all time, however you Italians need to look forward rather than backwards! :)
