Simply as that. He doesn't run enough and doesn't offer much beside some random goals.
Marchisio after the knee injury almost 2 years ago never got back to his old self.
But right now in Sami position we have none else beside him and Marchisio.
That's why in the incoming summer Juve will need at least 2 midfielders
Watching Khedira every game he looks average at everything.
He doesn't cover like Matuidi.
He doesn't pass or dictate the game like Pjanic
Honestly I can't think about a good thing from Khedira right now.
Pretty weird Allegri didn't field him today nor later in the game.

Thanks for your feedback. So now I’m convinced that my assessment of Khedira being past it and therefore not meriting a spot in Die Mannschaft was right. Such a shame that Löw picks him anyway because of favouritism. Arnold, Meyer and possibly Weigl are all playing better than Khedira this season.Valerio wrote:Still Spal proved 4231 simply does not work. Suicidal every **** time.
It does work for the Germans though!

Donnaruma is a joke

I think it is the former. Buffon is being selfish now. How will the other guys show their talent or develop if they don’t play? What happened to Sirigu?
Alternatives? The Dutch team doesn’t have a single forward right now who can hold a candle to Robben but Robben retired graciously when his country failed and has given the younger generations a chance to make a name for themselves.
I respect Gigi but this is the wrong decision from him. He is not getting any younger and he won't be around forever.

Are Italians really so shortsighted?

Not really. For now Donnarumma has already started some matches and Buffon is likely to retire from football this summer, hopefully his last match for Italy will be the friendly against Netherlands at Allianz Stadium the 4th June.
