Ah interesting, cheers.

I still seriously doubt anybody would consciously choose to fly on that plane. Seriously, look... it’s not a fancy private jet. Could have gotten on a first class passenger flight or a fancier private jet, seems like something most footballers would do.

Either he was really ill-advised by his entourage or it was Nantes.

Also for Cardiff City, it was in their best interest to get him on the best flight possible. This sort of thing should be forced.

Air traffic isn't perfect as well even though it seems to be very close to be perfect.

The worst about air crashes are casualties; almost no one gets away from dying. It's literally a miracle to survive it when something goes wrong or veeeeeery bad. Sometimes I think in car crashes you might have some maneuver space to act and avoid it, but in the airplane... :(

So sorry about Sala.

It’s probably not the plane that’s the problem. It’s probably the pilot. This is completely anecdotal, but from what I’ve seen in aviation those small aircraft have the accidents because that’s what novice pilots can afford to fly.

I also doubt that it’s cheaper to fly that thing than to fly on a regular passenger plane. Could totally be wrong, but I’ve flown a few aircraft, and that’s the sort of thing people fly who want luxury. That is completely the type of aircraft rich people love to fly or be flown in.

Now that's the thing. I've seen better, actually luxurious private jets. If, for the sake of argument, Sala is the type of get-rich football player who likes these things, would you not expect him to fly a fancier one? This thing seems like something for people with real interest in planes. He could well be of course, but we now know that he sent out that last message to his family that he was scared, do you reckon he's someone who would fly a plane like this for the sake of it?

I'm not saying the plane is shit, but it seems like somebody could have done something to put him on a commercial plane.

You could be right. I don’t know what’s going on since I haven’t been paying attention to the news for the past week. Just trying to say what general aviation is like. There’s a whole FBO culture of rather wealthy people who can afford those types of aircraft. I just think unless you are a footballer for a top club, you aren’t necessarily able to afford hiring the more luxurious private aircraft.

I really don’t know the prices, but my friends and I would fly a Cessna type aircraft across the country and i remember it being far more expensive than the commercial alternative. Piper Meridian looks nicer to me. It’s not a Lear jet but that’s for the Bieber/superstars of the world. And you got to hire a pilot, presumably one who doesn’t want to die, and now you are hiring labor that’s immediately much more expensive. But the pilot that’s flying four people is not as dependable as the former fighter pilot with thousands of hours who got hired by the airlines to be depended to fly a 737 full of potential lawsuits. I don’t know reminds me more of the Leicester case to me.

If they had a fully fit squad they could definitely win the Europa League. But they keep getting long term injuries to key players.

By Leicester case, I mean completely not the Leicester case since that IIRC seemed to be mechanical fault. But really the majority of aviation accidents are pilot error.

Then again it’s easy to blame the pilot when he’s dead.

League One side Barnsley FC signed two Maltese youngsters - U21 & U19 Internationals both from Luxol St.Andrews FC :
Alex Satariano & Marcus Grima.
The latter will be joining them now while the former will be joining the team for the pre-season =D> =D>
