A ten men Leicester tie the game in the extra time against ManU

Premier, La Liga, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 are pretty much done. Juventus is likely to win Serie A as well as they always struggle in the first round and then they easily take the title

What's the bookies favourite match day for Abu Dhabi to win the league? Beginning of March?

compared to the past where anyone could compete nowdays the economic gap is just too wide.

Either make a cap to what a team can "earn" or I dunno how you could fix this situation.

Yeah, we saw that last year despite spending 200+ mil €. :? After another 200+ mil € this year his team started to perform while he lost competition in Chelsea and Tottenham.

I can't recall when was the last time we saw three teams competing for the PL title. I recall 2003/2004 and 2004/2005(Chelsea, Arsenal and Man United). After that, I haven't seen a lot of fun in England except that Roberto Mancini's last-minute-title(vs QPR) in the matchday 38 against their main competitor in that season(Man United).

City is doing a great job while others are doing a terrible job, in the first line Chelsea who's the current champion. Man United are still silly against the small teams and they lost so many points this season in so-called small matches that makes no wonder they are 15 points behind the city rival Man City.

Arsenal and Liverpool I won't even comment, silly teams. Tottenham have also disappointed in the Premier League which isn't a case in the Champions League where they looked really good in the group stage.

All in all, almost every season we see the same scenario where one team dominates through the whole season without a serious threat and then in the next one, the other team does more or less the same under the same circumstances and conditions. Last season Chelsea, this season City.

Haha, I knew last season would come up. I was mostly joking - in fact there is also 2011/12, and his league wins at Barca were close (although miles ahead of 3rd place). Still, regarding the point on money though: many clubs, especially in that league, fail to get similar results with insane amounts of money.

Of course they fail. They buy just to buy it and that's it. There's no plan or systematic development at all, not to mention their youth academies and products. Lack of deep analysis who would fit into a team and who wouldn't, what kind of player profile they need in their squad and playing style... That's something in what the English teams are very popular for the last 7-8 years.
Overpaying and overestimating players doesn't necessarily mean they'll prove their worth(like Andy Caroll and many other amusing PL 'stars'), on the contrary... after so many years it has been proven to be quite opposite.
Tottenham are the only team that systematically develop and strengthen their squad, with a clear idea and vision although it's hard to handle the City, Chelsea and United investments and concentration of quality, but they proved in the last 2-3 years that they can achieve a lot without investing big amount of money.

What is really interesting to me in Guardiola's Man City is - Fernandinho. What he strongly disliked at Bayern to see in his team, now he's using it at Man City. Too bad he didn't use Javi Martínez as #6 when he was in charge here. :|

Mainly because Javi was injured 80% of the time when Pep was coaching us.
