Talented players in U18-19 teams?

and Myles Beerman who plays for Man C are all to be invited to play for Malta U17 Uefa European Championship.
Apparently only the latter is to accept the invite... Actually he is the only who started his carrier on the island.
Piscopo who plays for Inter has only his grandfather from his mother side with Maltese roots. He was born in Australia to Italian father and a Maltese / Australian mother. He can actually play for both Italy & Australia. Yesterday on a sports prog they said that the Malta FA tried to contact him however the Inter officials told them to leave him aloneThe chance to turn for Malta is very remote.
As for the other - Sammut the same prog conducted a tele interview with the U18 Chelsea player, were he said that he has already represented Scotland however he didn't rule anything/// The MFA have told him (trying to convince him coming for this tournament) that he can still chose later the NT to play for. So fingers crossed. IMO playing for Scotland does not give him any incentives but still I don't think he'll turn up for us.
Piscopo is a closed case on the contrary to the other he can play for one of the most imp NTs and Australia who are omnipresent in every WC.

IIRC last season fined or warned the Italian FA about a Serie A match being played on the same day being played a CL match. I guess nobody is going to watch Maltese football instead of a CL game to bother UEFA financially.

I had heard about this the last time the same thing happened, but I don't think so. There were league matches in other countries on the day.
I suppose it's leagues who have participants in the competition who cannot play.
Whatever it is, it is a stupid decision that will continue killing Maltese football. The games could have at least be played tomorrow. The epitome of stupidity is reached once you realize that the games at the Victor Tedesco Stadium (which is entirely roofless and offers no shelter from the rain/hail) are still being played today.

But maybe they wanted to give us sometime to recover and got the occasion to do it since the Valletta players who were not picked up by the Coach because of the row between their club and the FA had a week free. So maybe they just wanted to amend things with us who had 7 players playing for the NT

Maybe, but still, that gives a slight advantage next week to Hibernians and Balzan, who played yesterday.
ramsej84 wrote:Yes I did, and I've regretted it, we've fu***d up everything, we did not play our usual football, although didn't do much to deserve the full points we at least deserved a point.
I don't know about the ban, but I watched replay and learned about the incident concerning flairs in the stadium after the SLM-BKR game. The police called our secretary to report in the Rabat Station cause the Inspector (or who he was) wanted him to identify those responsible cause it is his responsibility as Club Secr! He told him that he couldn't do so from the VIP and the Police should have discovered the flairs in the first place while doing their routine checks before the match.
They are trying to kill the local football...
Malta PoliceIt seems that we are going straight into a Police State
