Ah okay... Yes, they still are... NSDAP had the "socialist" in the name though - and they wanted to appeal to all people...

The addition of national in national-socialism added the extra figure in the nation, that is, collectivism was geared towards the well-being of the nation and not it's peoples (though the argument was that one would lead to the other), unlike socialism which sells itself with reducing individual freedoms for the good of the collective. The concepts of working for the glory of the common proletariat is quite off from working towards the glory of the german race and/or nation, so I wouldn't say the NSDAP had any intention of appealing to "all people".

Of course the nation hating Stalin eventually resorted to calling it the Great Patriotic War rather than the Great Class War, so emphasizing the nation does seem to work better on that primitive level.

You could have thrown a "he never slept in Paris" just to avoid the off topic warning but god damm. :P

Hey, if french stadiums aren't improvised salons where the hot topic of the day is whatever new defintion of socialism the local paper's thought up then I've no reason to follow Ligue 1 anyway!

I completely missed the fathers of the much maligned 21st Century Socialism right there. EPIC fail of de Gaulle proportions. Although in all fairness the socialist application varies inmensely.

- Financial Fair Play restrictions have reined in their spending recently
- But French league leaders should be free to splash out in summer 2016
- Press in France believe they will have €300m available to spend [source]
