River coach Gallardo is the favorite to take over Real if Zidane is sacked

The same 3rd division club that eliminated Atletico Madrid took Barcelona to extra time, but Barcelona were successful in the end.

Barcelona on the verge of bankruptcy: €1,173m in debt, €730m in short-term.
Barça asks Goldman, Allianz and Prudential for urgent help to avoid bankruptcy

Things are looking....not great for Barcelona.

Cliff notes:

- A total of $1,173,000,000 in debt
- $730m in "short-term" debt (due soon..ish)
- $266m of that is owed to banks by 30 June
- Wage bill still represents 74% of total income, above the league limit of 70%
- Revenues fell from 18/19 to 19/20 by 14%, but expenses fell by less than 2% (~1.85%)
- Current fiscal year expects an expense bill of 796m (Down ~16% from last year) and revenues of 828m (down 3% from last year)
- It's being reported that they will need to repay $420m worth of debt this year or face insolvency

It will never happen... I remember Real were in a similar scenario (I believe on the late 90s early 2000s) & with some "help" they managed to overcome it.
If Barca do not receive this "help" they should only beat on their chests and say "mea culpa, mea culpa" as Messi should have been sold. OK the problems go back years of ill management but the sale of Messi would have surely eased this precious situation

Don’t think it‘s that precious to them...

How can you even amass that much of debt?!
Why does the league allow this wage thing?

That said they still turn a profit even this season if you look at above numbers... So what the hell happened?!

That was a top fraud in front of the entire world and UEFA "has investigated" for 21 years now this case. They sold Valdebebas or Bernabéu to Madrid city for 500 million € and then the city sold them back for 1 euro.

So brilliant, just imagine!  :x :x :x

The same Manchester City did few times in the last 7-8 years with the name of the stadium and shirt sponsor(Etihad) and UEFA didn't appreciate their brilliance of the UAE and Arabs for doing this.

We are all equal in front of the law and some are equalier.

Haha the rich Arabs really are ingenious. My local club is facing issues with bank compliance who are taking ages to approve a transfer from an Arab sponsor, so the same sponsor gave a donation of half a million live on tv to a national charity (fronted by a politician, no less) and caused a national scandal which the banks are now investigating with priority. If they determine that that money is from a clean source it follows that the football money is too and suddenly they’ve jumped the queue. Genius!

Real Madrid 1-2 Levante

Militao is the new Sergio Ramos, straight red in the 9'.

Atletico Madrid, who couldn't beat us in Madrid with our severely weakened lineup including players from FC Bayern II, are 7 points clear despite having played TWO fewer matches. They could go 13 points clear.

The end of Zidane at Madrid is approaching. I don't think Pérez can save him anymore. It just remains to see the CL campaign and that's it.

I will be extremely happy if Atlético become champions after long 7 years. The more they are Spanish champions, the better. :)
