Ufff I'd love to see Barcelona in bankruptcy.aterford wrote:Things are looking....not great for Barcelona.
Cliff notes:
- A total of $1,173,000,000 in debt
- $730m in "short-term" debt (due soon..ish)
- $266m of that is owed to banks by 30 June
- Wage bill still represents 74% of total income, above the league limit of 70%
- Revenues fell from 18/19 to 19/20 by 14%, but expenses fell by less than 2% (~1.85%)
- Current fiscal year expects an expense bill of 796m (Down ~16% from last year) and revenues of 828m (down 3% from last year)
- It's being reported that they will need to repay $420m worth of debt this year or face insolvencySource [source]

It will never happen... I remember Real were in a similar scenario (I believe on the late 90s early 2000s) & with some "help" they managed to overcome it.PunkCapitalist wrote:Ufff I'd love to see Barcelona in bankruptcy.aterford wrote:Things are looking....not great for Barcelona.

If Barca do not receive this "help" they should only beat on their chests and say "mea culpa, mea culpa" as Messi should have been sold. OK the problems go back years of ill management but the sale of Messi would have surely eased this precious situation

That was a top fraud in front of the entire world and UEFA "has investigated" for 21 years now this case. They sold Valdebebas or Bernabéu to Madrid city for 500 million € and then the city sold them back for 1 euro.
So brilliant, just imagine!![]()

The same Manchester City did few times in the last 7-8 years with the name of the stadium and shirt sponsor(Etihad) and UEFA didn't appreciate their brilliance of the UAE and Arabs for doing this.
We are all equal in front of the law and some are equalier.
