If Barcelona don’t lose this Sunday then I think they’ll go invincible in La Liga this season. I will be rooting for Simeone to beat the Catalan team!

It seems that Griezmann has it done with Barcelona next season, not ManU

Griezmann Messi Coutinho

Dembele on the bench
... and Suarez?

Or maybe Coutinho replaces Iniesta in LCM role...

So so close for Atletcio with that Costa offside. Looks like Barca will win the Liga again. Only Real Madrid (on paper) can stop the invincible run.

This might be an unpopular opinion but I would love to see more Germans playing in El Clasico. Right now you have only two (Kroos and Ter Stegen) I would like that figure to be around four. It would be good for Die Mannschaft to have players playing in two of Europe’s biggest clubs and in possibly the highest quality fixture(s) in the European football calendar.

Actually, NTs that do well recently are generally those that have a high number of players in 1 or 2 teams, so the ideal is for all the great Germans to play for Bayern, and X team (used to be Dortmund when they hay Reus, Hummels, Gündogan, Götze, but they are crap now). It's also optimal to select as few players outside the core team as possible ::coffee::

It simply is not possible now though. Even in a perfect scenario Bayern has six starters maximum in the NT. the rest are all over the place. Brazil’s first eleven is everywhere, same goes for Argentina, France and Belgium. Even Spain are not simply Barca+Real now.

It is in the national teams best interest that there is one feeder club (Bayern) and another secondary club in the BL (Dortmund? Schalke?) and the rest of the guys play in the biggest clubs across the big four leagues (five if you count Ligue 1 as well)

And yet all of Argentina, Brazil (not even Copa America, as that was taken by Chile two times in a row) and belgium are a lot of smoke and haven't actually acchieved anything lately ::coffee::

It is very clear that having a core of NT players actually training and playing together all year long is highly positive for NTs. Without going towards England's insular ways, the less German players ñeave Germany, the better for the NT.

This summer, Bayern should contribute Hummels, Boa, Neuer, Kimmich and Müller (plus Göretzka) to the German NT X11. That's 5 (or 6 players), which is fine. What German football needs now is a second strong team; BVB used to be that, but their late decline ruined it.

I get your point but even Chile had most of their players scattered around Europe when they won the Copa America twice.

Why didn’t you bring up France and Spain? French players hardly play in the French League and are all over the place. Even the Spanish squad now is much more than a combination of Real and Barcelona.

However I agree that NT players playing for the same club is a positive. Historically Bayern and Juventus have supplied the most players for Germany and Italy respectively and unsurprisingly these are the two most successful European footballing nations** So hopefully Bayern will continue to supply Die Mannschaft with the bulk of the players.

What I was trying to say was that in a 20+ man squad it would be nice if 3-4 guys were playing at least twice every season in a game of utmost quality and for two very good teams.

** With all due respect to Spain but before their four year golden generation period they only had one Euro to show. And three of Brazil’s 5 world cups were won during Pelé’s Era
