Really stupid that they didn't hire Sampaoli who moved to Sevilla. The financial resources which he could have used at Valencia are far bigger than in Sevilla.
Valencia 2014/2015 campaign was promising a lot, but till now everything has gone in a completely wrong direction.

I think that they're facing a financial crisis, they had to sell Mustafi, Gomes and Alcacer...

Busquets has still to renew his contract. The transfer clause is of 200.Million.
If he doesn't sign I believe that Pep and Man C will surely give it a try.
And the prophecy (I think by Achilles ) will come true!

OFFICIAL: Sergio Busquets will sign a new five-year contract at Barca—includes €200M minimum fee release clause.

It was a nice (and violent) game. Atletico make full use of whatever minor chances they get. We already learned that last year, so hopefully we can do better next week in Madrid.

Lionel Messi suffered a groin injury

Lionel Messi suffered a groin injury as Barcelona were held 1-1 by Atlético Madrid at the Camp Nou last on Wednesday night and the club said he would be out of action for at least three weeks.

Barcelona’s coach Luis Henrique said afterwards: “To lose Messi means that football loses. With Messi we are stronger, but we will continue being strong”

With manager Luis Enrique's Barca side leading by one goal in the second half, the Argentine dropped to the ground after struggling since half-time.

Arda Turan was readied and entered the game in Messi's place, and Angel Correa grabbed Atletico's equaliser almost immediately.

La Liga Matchday 2016/2017

Postby gembusbro212 » Thu Sep 22, 2016 8:46 am

Review Matchday-1 season 2016/2017

Plenty of fine football, no shortage of passion and your chance to call the shots from the dugout, all this and more was on offer on an entertaining opening weekend of La Liga action. We were treated to many impressive performances from summer signings, which along with the new systems deployed by the coaches, saw many players of LaLiga official game.

With the first round of thrilling action all done and dusted, it was time to sit down and tot up the points amassed by each player. With the scores all tallied up, the following stars did enough to bag themselves a place in the Matchday 1 Dream Team.

Of the top performers across the campaign's opening round of fixtures, it's Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona) who scooped the Player of the Matchday crown after a simply devastating display. However, with three players each making the cut, Real Madrid and Valencia can lay claim to being the best represented sides in a lineup which racked up an impressive points.

Messi is out for three weeks. It's not a long-term injury, but it's not a short one either. He will miss both matches against Man City and also the away match against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Filipe Luis is such a pussy. He should take it like a man. Look at Chiellini. He looked like Apple's logo and he never complained.
