Imagine some club boss asshole crying about being bankrupt by 2024 and the same day it becomes public he’s signing Alaba for a combined 110m until 2026...

Good on these clubs for doing the right thing and bailing out but hope they don't get off scot-free, especially the big architects like Madrid and Juve.

Wouldn't take points this season or relegate them or anything like that, but I don't think a transfer ban and/or European competition ban would be totally unfair. And I'd say add in a special transfer provision - no need to punish the players who weren't involved. If their club is banned, let the player(s) leave to join a club who is able to play in European competition (or at least go out on loan at the expense of the parent-club)

Libertadores? I haven't ever watched that crap. It's a bunch of delinquents and thugs. The only time I went to my local stadium people were literally pissing over the edge on their rivals heads and then unscrewed the seats and threw them over to were rivals were walking by. Its not just that I don't care, it's that I find those people despicable.

The existence of the Super League was shorter than Perez wanted the games to be. Well played football community. Respect to all the fans that hit the streets.

Short and sweet: "Manchester City Football Club can confirm that it has formally enacted the procedures to withdraw from the group developing plans for a European Super League."
