I spend a good 30 minutes reading comments from the Twitter accounts of these teams, and especially the English fans are looking so damn angry over this haha. :D

oh boy. this is gonna get ugly.

Now look at those super hypocrites how they ask for help from the same organization that destroyed football as a sport and massacred 26 years ago with few outrageous decisions to put all national leagues and European competitions in a total unbalance.

What we have seen for the last 20 years in football happening is a direct responsibility of the EU and they talk about defending SPORT!?!
They even gave birth to G14/ECA, they founded football business, extra profit called modern football.
Mino Raiola, Jorge Mendes, Piraña Zahavi are their monsters, etc. and they now see a birth of another mobsters who have no problem to say NO to UEFA and FIFA. :D

Popcorn and fun to see fight between 2 clans and reactions from their parent.

A very risky move if true. It means they themselves know UEFA have a better hand and they certain don’t yet have everything in place to kick off as early as September, which means they can end up with at least a year of no football, lose their players, all their income, etc.

Why should UEFA give in to blackmail if it does not believe that the system is ready to run now and when we know it will likely be too late if it doesn’t?

My prediction is that all this is one big bluff to reach a compromise with UEFA to create a European Super League as a division higher to all current top domestic leagues in Europe.

The idea I have is that the Champions League becomes an actual league. Teams participating in it won't play in their domestic league. The worst performing team in every country at the end of the season would play 2 leg playoffs against the domestic league winner to see whether there is promotion/relegation.

Furthermore, the teams that reach the Europa League semifinals would replace the bottom four teams in the new Champions League.

This way, it would still be a UEFA competition with the most elite clubs playing every week, but at the same time still be an open competition based on merit.

Its interesting if UEFA really has what it takes to crash that ESL idea, it might not work but I would:

1) Deny player transfers from the remaining clubs essentially meaning that all those giants will have to heavily invest in their own academies to survive, unless they sign free agents,
2) No NT tournaments for the players playing for those big clubs,
3) No domestic league or any other club tournament for those big clubs, other than what they organize between themselves.

ESL clubs may have huge leverage as of now but after 5-10 years new clubs will emerge while we (Bayern) may have 4-5 CL titles more :D
