Proximity mostly (Dortmund and Gelsenkirchen are maybe an hour from the Dutch border)...and the appeal of the working class team, at least that's what I taste with my colleagues and friends who follow the Bundesliga.

His FIFTH missed penalty in a year, if I'm not mistaken....It's a miracle Groningen held on. Looks like the Eredivisie title chase will be fun this year.

@Roonzil: Maltese international Clifford Gatt Baldacchino, who is a product of my local club and played for us until this summer, with Newcastle's (currently on loan at Ajax) goalkeeper Tim Krul. 
I believe the Maltese player is a distant relation of mine through marriage (not a blood relation).

That's so cool!!! 
I'm really curious how "Timmy" will do in the Eredivisie. Been out for a long long time, and has the potential to be a great goalkeeper. But damn, he also has weeks of very bad performances. Will be nice to watch him play live a couple more times this season.

The only time I've watched him "play" was at that world cup penalty shootout. Can't say he left a bad impression.

Hahah, magical night that! No one over here knew who he was, and within 10 minutes he was a national hero
Info on PSV: Striker Locadia will miss the next two months with a thigh injury. He's usually a starter.
