That would be very harsh. It may be the thing to do at other clubs but Dortmund would need a world class replacement to justify the decision, not some average coach the likes of Hamburg and Bremen appoint on a monthly basis

Maybe, but apart from Sporting they haven't won a single game in 90 minutes in the past month and many of them weren't particularly hard (including this one). They could be comfortably in first place with a decent lead in the Bundesliga. Instead, they're 6th and potentially heading out of the Pokal in the 2nd round. That shouldn't be acceptable for the 2nd best German team. Pretty sure we'd be calling for Ancelotti's head if we were in the same situation.

I don't think they have ever taken any penalties. Hesus!

All this to take penalties like Müller did for one year.
4-3-3 : Neuer - Kimmich Boateng Hummels Alaba - Goretzka Thiago James - Robben Lewandowski Gnabry
3-5-2 : Neuer - Boateng Hummels Alaba - Thiago - Kimmich Goretzka James Coman - Müller Lewandowski

We're having an unlucky draw this year. CL vs Atletico and 2 Bundesliga teams in the Pokal already.

We better not spend energy on it if we're not going to win it... I'd much rather get eliminated in the first round and concentrate on the CL and league than go all the way and lose in the end.

Maybe we'll face easier ones later.

We had Golfsburg and Darmstadt at the same stages last season...

There are bound to be some lower level teams in the quarters, if we make that, it should statistically be easier. Unless fate hates us.
