Oh, FFS. Can't see Fürth getting back into this one now.

No, like 3 times out of the 5 preceding seasons.

#12, are you trying to imply that Bayern are NOT the most dominant team in Germany? The Bundesliga title has become a snoozefest. It's in the Pokal where other teams have a small possibility of making a surprise over 90/120 minutes. And it really is a small possibility when you compare the amount of losses vs the amount of matches.

Since 2011/12, we've won 37 matches and lost 4.
Or you can say that since 2012/13 we've won 32 matches and lost 3. Your call.

In reality if this was a Bundesliga season (we're talking about a similar amount of matches), we'd have won it easily.

Yeah but it isn’t... Reality is that since 2010 we have "merely" won 50% of Pokal titles...

Which is unhealthy dominance.

Official generic DFB-Pokal discussion thread

Now I wonder... Dortmund are rotating today... That must mean they‘ll lose their touch that - as opposed to us - was actually there before, right?

It's stuff like this that makes me wonder how confident Kovac really is in himself.
Union Berlin aren't a great side but they're undoubtedly MILES better than Rödinghausen....and I *think* one could still argue that *on paper* Bayern might have a better squad than BVB (not necessarily in regards to form, but just overall player quality). Yet Favre is the coach who feels comfortable rotating, not Kovac. Why is that?

I just kind of get the sense that in spite of the bosses' public backing, it seems like Kovac feels as though every match could cost him his job. Yeah, it's an elimination match, but we should feel okay to play someone like Will in midfield or Jeong on the wing against a 4th-tier opponent. But it feels like Kovac deliberately takes the "safe" or "experienced" options because he doesn't seem confident that he could possibly survive if something went wrong.

Perhaps that's too much speculation, but i don't know. It makes sense to me. Feels like the players aren't confident in Kovac and that probably stems (to a degree, anyways) from Kovac perhaps not being so confident in himself either.

Too massive games tonight...

P.S BVB Lb suffered an inj and had to be replaced by Guerreiro...

Yeah that’s cause he sucks

Kidding aside: we never played many youngsters in these games... I think Kovac has far bigger flaws than this issue...
