Using "ridiculous" doesn't make a plausible argument. Pavard doesn't position himself like a CB. Boateng makes 1-on-1 mistake, but his movement still gives us a structure. Using Pavard wouldn't just be bad individually, it would make his partner look bad as well.

Jesus Christ, why is it so hard to defend in today's football? Why footballers have become so lazy, arrogant and full of themselves? And then we wonder why every European fail happens when you play this sort of defense.
