I think he lacks a lot of pace. It was the same against Shakhtar too. I see him really far not only from his best, but also from a good form.

The same goes for Alonso.

Indeed... Ribery was extremely poor yesterday. Very poor passing. It's also true that many players (not just Lewy) are a bit too static.

Our best possible central midfielders formation are Alonso- Schweinsteiger, but both in their best form.

Assuming that bayern beat Schaktar (Alonso will not play), they will have a month for reach at their best form, before the next champions league match, so maybe keeping both of them in the starting lineup, is not a bad idea of Pep, it could help both of them to reach at their best form.
