All I can think is that Real dodged a bullet and we shot ourselves in the foot. We defeated ourselves not finishing chances and giving away free goals. Real didn’t create shit for chances, and we failed to convert ours.

I love Müller but he was SO shit today... I was shouting at him whole second half and asking Jupp to change him with Wagner (he COULDN'T be worse!)

And Süle, what a beast he is... he just needs long passes and he's better than current Boateng!

It's sad and the defeat hurts, but God damn did we play well. Jupp's tactics were formidable, what a legend of a coach, a total handcuffing and jailing of Ronaldo and Real's midfield. Without our blunders, Madrid only scored 2.

Thiago-Tolisso duo was spectacular. Sule is the next best defender.

This leaves me with great memories of our coach's last ever big game. Thank you, Legend =D>

Anybody who thinks this team has a bad mentality or no balls can fuck right off.
Sané ---- Lewandowski ---- Gnabry
Davies - Thiago - Kimmich - Dest
Hernández -- Alaba -- Upamecano
--------------- Neuer ----------------

Süle, what a man. Luv ya James, Thiago, Alaba, Kimmich, Hummels.

I have a terrible gut feeling we won't be seeing the semis for a while.

Yeah, but that is the point. If we had invested properly last transfer window (like an extra WC winger) we wouldn't be so reliant on Ribery to be the only wide player we had for almost two full semi finals.
Ulreich's mistake was unbelievable (and I wanna say unforgiving, but of course it's not).

If we had had a proper right winger healthy for this tie over two legs, it would have looked different I believe. Robben is injured all the F ing time.
Of course it's not enough to have three proper wingers in a team with two of them being almost constant injured interchanging.

What logic is this? You mean, if we had fewer chances you'd have say we deserved to go through?

Where did you get that?

What I mean is we had all the chances in the world to score goals to cancel out the blunders conceded, but our forwards couldn't keep their scheiße together. So the loss is on our forwards. And Real was crap, but still finished their chances. We had more chances, couldn't do it. Would've outscored them.

Exactly, it hurts that much more because we were so close with a depleted squad. Real were not good, we gave this tie away with stupid mistakes and a lack of ruthlessness in front of goal. A new pair of wingers and fixing our medical staff and we are back.

What a match.

Positives:
- Our midfield is likely the best midfield in the world. Completely dismantled Reals mid. Thiago, Tolisso and James were fantastic (although a couple small mistakes).

- Sule was a freakin beast. He is definitely going to be the best CB in the world. That height, strength, speed and defensive instincts is unreal. He is also decent with the ball in his feet.

- Ribery and Alaba played quite well.

Negatives:
- Hummels is very poor these days. Offensively he wins every header and slams it wide of the net.

- Lewandowski's first touch is worse than Muller's. WTF

- Ulreich ... what the hell man

- Muller useless out wide. He did have some nice crosses though.

OK let me try again.

Since we had chances, you think it's on our forwards.
If we didn't, it would have been on our injuries.

Why, because we had chances, does that remove the injuries factor?

Tolisso surprised everyone with that pass... he wasn't even looking... it was all due to his inexperience...
The only thing that Ulreich saw was the Real player rushing towards the ball...
OK we can argue that Sven had all the time of his life to clear it but again he was not expecting such a back pass

I genuinely think Jupp has been making us overperform, though.

We need a revamp up front for sure. We don't have a single reliable scorer. In defence we are good although we need better backups. We've made excellent transfers there in recent years though: Hummels, Kimmich, Sule.

In midfield we are kind of set. Tolisso was very good and we have Goretzka coming in, and maybe with some miracle Sanches will rediscover himself. Hopefully we can hold onto Vidal.

I still think realistically we should transition to a wingerless formation but if the board are willing to break the bank then by all means we can keep playing the same way. We do need quite a few changes though, not just one or two. It doesn't mean our current team isn't good but we will only get worse.

His fault. What was he doing, thinking about his wife or something?
The only thing he needs to do while walking about is expecting to receive the ball or a shot every second he is on the pitch. Always alert. He wasn't.

Besides, I was sure he would receive a pass at least 2 seconds before the pass came through. Why not him?
