I like this. I think we will be needing to score 3 or even 4 goals to progress.

Yeah Coman’s out for sure, but Alaba should play unless our medical team screw up somehow.

Coman is out for sure, yes. He might be available for a potential final.

Don't know what's worse, your complete lack of balls or your doubt that Jupp is smart.

I’ll let that personal insult from an admin slide

Seriously though, can you blame me for not having confidence in Bayern anymore? Our record historically hasn’t been great at the Bernabeu and now we cannot even beat RM at our home stadium!

As for lacking balls, a lot of players lacked plenty of them yesterday. If Robert, Ribery, Thomas and Hummels had shown some in front of goal yesterday we would be having a totally different conversation today.

And with all due respect to Jupp, he has been abysmally stubborn with formations/tactics this tenure. Always has been the 4231 or the unstable 4141 for the last six months. Never tried a back three, never tried any version of 442 in the BL (when our main rivals Real/Barca have been playing 442 almost all season), never resting key players and never giving youth a chance (which is vital for a low spending club like Bayern)

Love Jupp and will always respect him but unfortunately he hasn’t been without fault this time.

Well it’s not like we weren’t forced to sub off two before 35th minute mark...

We were both wasteful and unlucky. Given the combination of these factors and tactical mess-up at the very start of the game, things could have been worse, and I mean Guardiola era worse. Bear in mind that nobody is giving us a benefit of an excuse, and our failure echoes around as if they have beaten us 5:0.

The point is, we still have a good chance, there’s no need to be so catastrophical about 2:1. I believe in this team - I believe that they must be angry now and willing to redeem themselves. I mean, Juventus has put three past them with fuccking Higuain in front - that is probably the only person in history of football who is more overrated than Lewa.

There's one thing missing chances, there's another thing failing to participate. If you were a Bayern player, what would you do, tell Heynckes you don't want to play and stay at home playing on your Playstation or something? :x

I've never, ever, seen a coach with his hands tied so much during a big game. Injuries before the match and **THREE** during the match, ridding him of any chance of making a tactical change that wasn't enforced upon him. And was it Heynckes' fault the players missed the chances?

I understand that the injuries during the game were a massive blow but at the same time Jupp has never experimented with a winger less or wing back based formation throughout the season to prepare us for the worst that is upon Bayern.

Carvajal expected to miss this match. He should be out for around 2-3 weeks, but with Spanish doctors you never know.

Well, true. Heynckes is not a jack of all trades, though. His tactical nous lies in relying on the wings. If we wanted to play in the middle, we could've kept Ancelotti.

I think he'll "miraculously" make it next week. In any case, they have Nacho coming back and can easily take his place. He might not be as good going forward but sure is better at defense, which might end up being a win situation for them.

I just want to point out that a 2-1 win where we go to penalties, Ulreich saves Ronaldo's penalty and we meet Liverpool in the final, i.e. I dreamt the future, is not so unrealistic.

I don't want any kind of a repeat scenario similar to 2012. Either we win it prior to penalties or go out in 90 minutes :D
