When UEFA will use replays? Or when refferees stops killing matches? Decisions were not fun. It's sad to looking for your hard work and result.

Was your head stuck in the fridge fetching another beer while Marcelo was busy clearing off the line, Lewandowski incorrectly stopped for offside in a clear run to goal with acres of space and Navas on his line and also with Vidal's miss from inside or just outside the small box?

It was 10 men (one of which playing with a fractured foot) against 17 men yesterday and they took the match to extra time, something you thought impossible even with 11v11.

You forgot the two golden chances by Robben. The one early in the match and the other superb sliding block (just like Hummels) by Marcelo.

I am here reading all those posts and guys cmon! I also feel the pain.. Yes, referee made bad decisions, but also on both sides! I mean we got a pen out of no were, in firs leg.. we just couldn't score.. Madrid scored their chances. If Vidal scored pen.. it would be over and we go trough and then i believe Madrid fans were like us now crying and winning about bad ref..

I mean look at stats. Shots on target: First Leg - Bayern Munchen 3 — 12 Real Madrid; Second leg. Real Madrid 11 - 2 Bayern Munchen. We scored from penalty, corner and auto goal from Ramos what gave us chance. We may controlled the game, but that doesn't always win you football matches.

Also about Vidals sending off.. I agree at first no yellow there, but what was he thinking? I mean you are on thin ice.. before saved by ref., and now slide in from back.. also look at this --> https://gfycat.com/DependentSilkyGrassh ... speed=0.25. (My point, if we look at slow mo replay, its foul for me, so in the end i would say deserved yellow, taking account previous tackles.)

Biggest mistake for ref i think was that he didn't send Cesamiro off. But still please dont say we lost cuz of ref.. we didnt.. Madrid was better in two legs.

I feel bad, but be a man, and stop winning about ref., cuz those mistakes happen.. but still you have to convert it in goal, cuz ref cant do that part. Ronaldo scored, we didn't..

****, I sound like Real Madrid fan, after reading through all what i have written. :D :D :D

How were Madrid better? They were better when we had 10 men only, in both games. They had better chances yesterday, but none were sent off target. Flash news: Neuer and the defence are players too. There's no luck involved. They had a job to do and did it perfectly. It's not creating chances that makes you better, and as pointed out in the last few posts we had chances too anyway.

If there were no referee mistakes in either leg, we'd clearly have qualified. There's no use in saying there were mistakes on both sides because they were far from equal. If no penalty had been given in the first leg, no difference to the score and maybe even we'd have been better mentally. Second yellow for Martinez is still debatable, but I wouldn't call it a mistake. Yesterday we wouldn't have scored the second goal, but we'd almost certainly have scored another. Real wouldn't have scored their two most important goals of the season so far.

The result was clearly heavily pushed in Real's favour by the referee, even if there were some mistakes in our favour.

There is any news about Hummels? He looked in pain on extra time. Hope is not something bad .

We leave with our heads high. We showed we are better than Real Madrid, but a series of unfortunate events (injuries, sending offs and refereeing decisions) eliminated us. I am sure that if we played the matches 2 weeks ago with fair referees and everyone fit from either team we would have eliminated them easily, probably winning both legs and be made heavy favourites to win the CL.

As was mentioned before our idea with building that momentum was bad :(. Totally unnecessary lineup against Dortmund. But I think our problem in last 4 years is that we dont have enough players on the bench with almost same quality with the starting 11. The coach uses same players and in April we have left only half of the squad.
Age, minutes played cumulated with fatigue = injuries we dont have to be Einsteins .
I really blame the Board and Carlo for that line up with Dortmund. Its sad we didnt learn anything from last 3 years. With a full team there is no doub we could eliminate Real.

I had that feeling Vidal was definitely going to be sent off - however I expected the same measure to be applied to Casemiro on many occasions most notabily after that foul on Robben, the ref had already hand on pocket and then backed out when he saw that it was Casemiro that fouled. Then the ref pulls out a yellow like that on Robben when he was in the corner for bad mouthing that super dumb linesman (the culprit for most all bad offside / non-offside calls)

The Lewa offside call was another blatant 'mistake' and to make it worse there was then the Ronaldo 1m offside goal 'mistake'

naaah so much such 'mistakes' chained together makes these deliberate one-sided decisions.

Two points about our performance is that it looks like that we're still not creating enough from corners - it looks like there's training for set pieces and yesterday we had all those corners and in most situations these ended up dangerous counters from Real.

We're not capable of building up any counter attack initiative, there is no urge to be quick...I know, with Alonso / Lahm its a bit difficult but c'mon give it a try especially when things are desperate...but no let's keep that ball a little bit longer / give that back pass and let's give the opposition time to recover.

As I see it Ancelotti is relying/hoping on players' individual class / resolution, there is no plan just throwing players in the fight like that, that is the reason why he doesn't favour the young ones to start. I don't know what will happen when the many experienced players retire.

Another year another defeat and it gets me sadder when thinking what it might have been if this passing generation had been given another year or 2 with Heynckes.

It's just harsh how quickly everything fell apart. We were told all year to not worry about early season results because "Carlo will get the team in form in April and May when it counts"...by most counts, things were going just as planned up until a week or two ago. Then it seems like everything that had started to swing in our favor swung 180 degrees away and it feels like a train's been derailed now.

I hope our boys get things together to finish out the double, but at this point I can't even blame them if they've got a hard time getting up to compete for the next few matches.

Madrid better my ass...
They played better and got their huge chances since we were with 1-man down for both legs. We nearly played them for 1 hour with a man down in 210 minutes. We actually beat them in their home ground just they beat us in our home. The teams were equally good and strong and the tie should be settle by the players only and in small details. I prefer to concede 4 goals than get robbed like that, not deserved for the warriors we put out there. There wasn't just one bad call which is understandable but three? Sorry people I can't have that and I'm a guy that acknowledges that bad ref calls are part of the game but not like these and not that quantity suddenly when Madrid where under pressure.

SCORE
11v11 = 3-2
11v10 = 0-4
RM better?

It may be at Reals favour and i agree creating chances dont make you better, but scoring goals does! That wins for you games! We played 60 min in first game 11 vs 11, still no goal from game.. Second game the same - 84 min 11 vs 11. We played better, we controlled the game, but couldn't score. If we would convert chances it may be over and ref couldn't do anything with his bad calls.. After the games i think back and remember how Neuer saved us at first leg (although it was when we were on 10 men, still he did excellent job), but cant say it about Reals Navas, cuz we didn't put him on effort.

About both red cards.. You can argue about me, but it was bad decision making from both players and also Carlo. Should subbed him off, or not play Alonso , cuz Vidal had tho cover for him also, what pushed him out of position and a lot of tackles, what in the end led to yellow cards...
Before first leg, i looked at Real players and was so happy that Pepe and Varane out, thought it will be holes in their defense, also Ramos on yellow, what would make him not make dangerous tackles what he did not (example of good decision making there).. I mean Real playing with their 4th defender and Ramos on yellow, what at the end isn't the greatest defender.. and still no goals form games in 140 mins..
But guess what, Thiago and Vidal gets 2 **** yellows in one game cuz you dont play like Vidal played after first yellow. I know Vidal is warrior, but you got to play with you mind, not just run and tackle every chance you have.. SAME MISTAKE TWO GAMES IN ROW, dont make that tackle, you wont get sent off!
I dont say anything bad about our defense, they played great, but you cant win if you dont score!!!!

I wish we were in semis, but you cant change the fact that we lost... I dont mind you guys.. If you like to think we were robbed go for it.. i just see a lot of what our players , staff could do different and what would give us the win..

As old saying goes - BALL DONT LIE!

The one positive to take from that is that we played really well and there's definitely something to build on for next season.

The only reason we lost was dodgy officials. Can we make a complaint to UEFA about them? They shouldn't be officiating matches at this level if they're making decisions like they were. It's not Sunday League it's the bloody Champions League.
