They were also the only thing that gave us any space to work with. The midfield would drop it back to one of the defenders, and one of our CBS would drop really deep to receive and distribute. Liverpool’s front 3 chased all the way back and then got cut out with a forward pass. I think it was intentional to sucker them into the press and bypass them. Seemed to work well, we just had no final product
