FCBayernMunchen wrote:Because as MUTU said the other day we are not actually in a rut. We are getting much better results than we were earlier in the season and our injury situation is looking good. If you want to excuse that by saying they're just Bundesliga teams, so be it.

So far in 2019 Liverpool have lost 2 games (one losing them a title, the other a big loss for the title race), drawn 1 and won 2, by one goal each. One of the wins included letting in 3 goals. Every game they didn't lose was against teams in the lower half of the table.

We are nowhere near as good as we were last season, but face it, we were underperforming earlier in the season and more importantly, Liverpool were overperforming. We can still do much better but the general trend has been towards improvement and winning. If anyone is in a rut it's Liverpool.

We will go through. What do you want to bet on?

Win-win would be betting Liverpool to advance.

I'm a Liverpool fan and am not that confident we will go through.

We will be very wary of you phycologically your still a top side , two of our best defenders won't be playing at home (Virgil and Joe Gomez) and we are heavily distracted by the League race.

Lately our defence hasn't been good (conceded 6 goals in January, when we had only conceded 8 in 4 months within the league).

If Bayern walk away with a draw or 2-1 loss that is actually a decent result at Anfield. A win I would say your 75% through. If however we score 2-3 goals in the first 30mins and blow you away I would say 75% chance we will qualify for QF.

As both sets of fans tend to look at each other's weak points id say it's a 50:50 right now, we are not really in form right now though.

4 days before this match, we play away against Augsburg. I saw part of their match yesterday and their pitch was a joke... full of brown patches where grass died... it's going to be a big injury risk.

--------------------------------------------------------------

4th February (Liverpool play, FC Bayern don't)
West Ham vs Liverpool:

--------------------------------------------------------------

6th February (FC Bayern play, Liverpool don't)
Hertha vs FC Bayern that could finish with extra time:

--------------------------------------------------------------

9th February (FC Bayern kick off 2.5 hours later)
Liverpool vs Bournemouth:

FC Bayern vs Schalke:

- play against Augsburg
- travel back to Munich
- travel to Liverpool.

If Neuer misses this one, we are done.

And before #12 comes with his pessimistic BS, yes, I do think we have chances of going through. But an out of form Ulreich will surely let in a few and then it will be game over even before we get to play the 2nd leg

That aside, without their best defenders Van Dijk and Mueller, we are quite likely to score as well. With both defences being relatively weak I think our best chance of defence is the psychological factor of being able to score early.

I really hope that Arjen will be 100% fit for this one...
We need his experience... I am sure that he can put the Scottish LB in his pocket ...

What? His experience of not being able to get past the shittiest of defenders which he accumulated in the last 2 years?
Sané ---- Lewandowski ---- Gnabry
Davies - Thiago - Kimmich - Dest
Hernández -- Alaba -- Upamecano
--------------- Neuer ----------------

This season in the Champions League, Jeong has 1 dribble in 9 minutes of playing time. Robben has 2 dribbles in 314 minutes played.
