Any information on why it’s so early?

When will yellows be annulled?

James to come in for Thiago so they play a half each...

So we agree on the lineup. 8)

@ MUTU - You want Bayern to play the best lineup possible. Does Bernat feature in that lineup on the LW?

No, but James does.

James is coming back from injury. Coman is out. Bayern are short of options on the LW. IMO, No better time to test Alaba-Bernat on the left (in the CL) in a game where we need to score just once to kill the tie.

There's club prestige, UEFA club coefficients, UEFA country coefficients and UEFA match winning bonuses involved in a Champions League tie. Leave the experiments for the Bundesliga, please. Especially since we might already be mathematical champions at the weekend.

Agree to disagree mate. IMO the lineup I suggested is good enough to win away at Constantinople against a side who will be without their first choice CB pairing. IMO guys like Bernat, Sule, Wagner and Rudy need vital CL KO exposure. Rafinha plays because Kimmich is under threat of Suspension.

As for mathematically winning the BL this weekend that is only possible of we can beat Leipzig at their home ground and Schalke/Dortmund drop points.

Also, IMO winning the BL asap would boost our triple hopes greatly because then in April the players will have nothing but the Cups to focus on and the remaining BL games would basically become testspiel!

IMO (and in Lewandowski's opinion too), winning the BL asap would greatly diminish our triple hopes because the players would become complacent in their league matches and it would be difficult to change gears for a CL match then... look at what happened under Guardiola. In fact, the ideal situation in my opinion is that we win against Besiktas, a resounding victory, and then lose against Leipzig. Yes, I'd be happy if we drop points while Schalke and Dortmund win. I also want Leipzig in the Champions League. We're going to win the Bundesliga anyway, with or without a win against Leipzig. Nothing's going to stop us now.

I am a simple fan and I want Bayern to win all their games and never lose!

Based on your line of thinking I would take a draw at Leipzig.

Re: Complaceny in the League. Real Madrid have already conceded the league title and are only focusing on the CL. I think Bayern players need to do the same in April, channel all your energy in the midweek Cup games.

If Bayern beat Besiktas tomorrow, Jupp Heynckes will become the first manager in history to win 11 consecutive Champions League games.

Ah yes, that alone is reason enough to play the best possible formation and treat it as if it was the Champions League final. The man deserves the record.

James is coming back from injury so he is unlikely to start. Ribery played full 90 against Hamburg and is injury prone. Coman is out of action. Almost no LW options. No better time to test Bernat in that position in a game where Bayern have a big lead.

Robert did his job in the first leg and I would keep him on the bench. Wagner needs a taste of CL football before the QF starts. Rafinha should be more than decent against Besiktas and I do not want to lose Kimmich by suspension in the QF stage (where Bayern could face Barcelona, Madrid, City, Liverpool, Juventus or United)

Hummels-Boateng are the only guys I would give a rest in this game. Even Real Madrid wouldn’t risk Ramos-Varane for a second leg where there were already leading by five goals.

Subs: Stark, James, Robert, Gotze, Ribery, Jerome and Hummels.

James for Thiago and Robert for Thomas or Wagner.

So Besiktas will basically be playing without any CBs. Medel is a DM like Martinez so he will play CB for them.

In this case I am even more convinced that Bernat, Wagner, Rafinha and Rudy should all start tomorrow! If all those guys want to prove that they are worth being Bayern players then surely this is the perfect game for them.
