Anyway, I know I’ll get attacked by some for this but just leaving it here.

I’m not even close to confident either but it’s not over.

I don’t know. If we don’t have Lewi back for next weeks game, we’re out, I believe.

How the F#*% van we create like 30 chances and only score two goals?!!! And they create like 5 and score 3??! F#+%*^}!!!!

Maybe I can answer my own question: because Lewi ain’t in the game. We are too dependent on him. I don’t know if its EMCM who’s too poor, or its the other players who can’t score... (that header from Mouting was not bad BTW).
Choupo-Moting definitely messed up badly today. But of course it’s not just Lewa. It was Gnabry too. It was losing Goretzka so early. It was no subs among the forwards. It was Sané making Robben look like the most selfless player ever.

Agree, Coman and Sane are just not Robbery. When we face top opposition, they’re not at the level they should be. Goretzka, Gnabry and Lewi would have given us a win. I know Coman scored against PSG in the final, but his end product is just STILL not good enough.

There's no way in hell that PSG, at home, will play this passive. They didn't press, they just hold their positions and waited for us to make our inevitable shit mistakes.

They implemented a classic away tactic, not to win really but to score away goals. They will play way more aggressive in the second leg.

Our players are fatigued after this game and we have no substitutes because of injuries that can play on Saturday...

Lewy has said himself that he won't be able to play on tuesday and both Süle and Goretzka maybe will miss it too.

In short: We're fucked.

Just gotta hope Verratti isn’t fit for the next game. That defense and midfield was absolutely clueless.

I‘ve said it a million times: won’t fly against actual opposition... And we‘ve watched this game for the fifth time this season...

We‘re out...

The thing is, you see all these things as I do but still somehow worship Flick
I don’t worship him... He needs to play with what the Bosnian fuck gives him... That’s a lame excuse for a striker... Two goals is a bare minimum today... He didn’t even score that offside... Flick didn’t get a proper DM, so he had to play Alaba there after Goretzka... And compared to Süle, Boa was WC today, yet we tell him to leave OVER THE FUCKING MEDIA! Flick‘s no saint, but this is not only on him...
Agree with this (except the Chupo hate, he is decent). Both Flick and Brazzo have to share the blame. Brazzo for bribing in crap and Flick for not using the good players he actually was provided with.

Not trying to defend Brazzo here since I also find him mediocre but what makes you think Flick would play a better DM (if we had one) over Alaba? He's had a better CB than Alaba all season and still benches him unless it's inevitable. At some point we have to blame Flick for not fixing the defensive mistakes we've seen all season long.

Well Flick wouldn't, since a better DM already exists on our bench and didn't get a chance. Yes, Javi's finished, but he's practically built for a game like this and a more than worthy emergency option than a failed LB turned failed CM turned failed CB.
The Alaba hate FOR THE TIME HE WAS IN MIDFIELD is unjustified. In fact I think he was better than Kimmich and he came very close to scoring twice, which is more than can be said for anyone except Muller.

You do have a point. At least we totally dominated the game, and should have scored like 5-7 goals. That is my only comfort in the return leg. But we need at least Goretzka and Gnabry in Paris.

Rather Verrati back than Marquinhos.

This came to mind too, but the instigator of that comeback and the second best big game player of all time is now playing for PSG...

Very true, and I think that Barca side was better than this season’s Bayern. But on the flip side, we have a better result going in, and we mostly have ourselves to blame today, so it’s not like it’s unfixable.

Hate to say it, but I think you’re spot on. We should have taken our chances tonight.

It depends entirely on PSG’s personnel. I don’t think they meant to play “passive”, they just didn’t have the players to do otherwise. And we stupidly let them get away with it.

True, it's not over yet, but Barça got a LOT of help from the ref in that game, which never happens to us.

why didnt we have sane and coman swap wings for a bit in the 2nd half. coman would've tortured bakker like he did kehrer in the CL final last year. flick should've told them to do that as soon as that sub was made. coman is way better at killing someone in a 1 on 1 in that spot. also unsure why musiala didn't even see the pitch

My guess is Flick was afraid of another injury after subbing on Musiala, but I do think he should have risked it for the last ten.
