Just for my own curiosity.

How much of a 'leash' do you think Kovac has? What circumstance (if any) would see him sacked before the end of the season?

(Again, not calling for his head, just interested to hear you guys' thoughts on how much patience the bosses would show with him)

He will be sacked in the first half of the season if we are in serious risk of not making it out of the group (won't happen).
He will be sacked in March/April if we are around 5+ points behind 1st place in the Bundesliga.

Otherwise he stays. At the moment he's also a bit "protected" thanks to Uli's comments about making the right choice.

Hmmm Bayern were by far weaker with Ancelotti in his last first weeks. Actually it was just shit.

I'm not Kovac superfan but except this Hertha game, it's great on the pitch.

Under Ancelotti every single away game smell like what we saw last friday ... the feeling we are shit and can't win.

So talking about sacking right now is way too much.

I don’t think so... We lost to Hoffenheim, IMHO a far better team than Hertha...

It’s true it’s way too early, but let’s not act like Augsburg was oh so well... Ge needs to change something or the ice will get thinner...

all went downhill since he started to put sanches on the team.the guy is not from.this league. bayern is trying to put some.minutes behind sanches and wrap him in.some.gold foil and sale him.in winter .
bad money management. but to try to recover the loss in.such way is looking.very cheap for a big team.like bayern.

Both of those games were not the refs fault IIRC... we were unlucky at Shitty and lackluster against Arsenal... If Bayern play to their best the ref should be no issue in this match...

Interestingly, if you just look at the numbers, one would probably conclude we were better early under Ancelotti - last season I believe we scored 14 and conceded 5, compared to 12 and 5 this season - but last season's average opposition was something like 9th place and this season has been more like 12th or so, at the time we played them.

Of course we could argue Ancelotti had a stronger squad - and of course just looking at GD doesn't tell the whole story - but I'm not sure we're noticeably stronger or weaker. Seems like 'honeymoon effect' to me.
You'll also note I made it very, VERY clear that I wasn't trying to call for Kovac to get sacked, it's just a discussion is all.

Yes, interestingly the people who really DO jump to conclusions are rarely the ones who criticize... ;)

Still time to turn this around but we need a run across all competitions... If we don’t win on Tuesday I think the word crisis is not taboo anymore

Niko Kovač on the talk about a 'mini crisis' at Bayern: "We are all spoiled for success. Of course, my mood was clouded after Friday's defeat but I don't give it a big importance. It wasn't all sunshine after the first 7 wins, and it's not time to question everything now. Ajax is a very big club. They have a great time with good players and individual quality. But we are at Allianz Arena and we want to show a reaction. All players are fit, Leon Goretzka as well.

Kovač on Jérôme Boateng: It would be far too easy to single him out for the goals. But we also made mistakes in midfield that led to their goals. However, you all want to criticize the last player who was involved in it.

Kovač on Effenberg's critics over too much rotation: Yes, that's also easy to criticize now. After 7 wins in 7 games, everything was fine but now after 2 games without a win, it's suddenly a problem.

Kovač on the problem of chance conversion: We are working on it in training every day. We work hard, but sometimes you also need a bit of luck. Quality is certainly there. Arjen Robben knows Dutch football very well and is very motivated. He wants to show what he can do tomorrow.

Arjen Robben did not show up for the press conference.

Just for a small addendum, it looks like Robben did end up showing up for the presser, just a bit late it seems
